Real will be travelling to Schalke for the mid-week CL clash and then will play against Atletico at Calderon after 3 days. Hopefully Atletico will win as they have a whole week to prepare and barca will be back where they belong on top of the table :tito:

Has nothing to do with Diego, they've been stuttering since the New Year. Right now they are actually fighting hard after being two goals down rather than giving up.

Diego and two up front is pushing it and not as disciplined as they have been before.

Can barely even tell where he is playing.

Madrid will surely win!! They are in form even without their main goal scorer and atletico are not as defensively stable as they used to be

They were struggling vs Malaga in the first game of 2014, drew against Valencia, drew against Sevilla, had a tough time with Athletic, fell to Almeria, and were routed by Madrid.

It's been a trend of 2014 so far, bad form and a lack of total focus by all their players. Defensive errors have become more common with them and fatigue is playing in a bit. Diego is by no means responsible for all of that even if he hasn't found a perfect spot in the system yet. They can have a great game one day and then a really poor one the next, lacking consistency right now but they'll get it eventually.

They have lost the last three games Diego has started, this would make it four. Not scoring and conceding nine goals.

Out with that they have been getting good results and been solid.

Good results but you really haven't been watching them if you say they've been consistently solid. They've looked more exposed on counters, their defenders are making more errors, and they don't have the same unity. To say Diego is responsible for conceding 9 is pretty deluded, and he doesn't impede anything in attack. They've had some great games (like vs Sociedad and us) but overall they look less assured defensively than before the winter break.

Atleti haven't ever been the side to score 4 goals each match but they usually are more secure at the back than they look now. Costa's dry spell played a big part as to why they haven't scored much and their defensive frailty is becoming more and more apparent.

Look right now. Is Diego the reason they've conceded 3! today vs Osasuna? If you believe that then wow, it's pretty damn hilarious. If not then it's just another case of you stringing along a useless argument to hide the fact that your claim is wrong.
