Who knows what would have happened if we'd have won our game against Deportivo, us drawing most definitely put added pressure onto RM today.

Thats easy to say, had they won it would be that it had given them confidence.
Fact is we coud/should have been 7/9 points up but 5 is still very good given our complete lack of depth.

Deserved win for Villarreal. Came out really strong and easily could've been up by a couple goals in the first half. Second half RM responded very well, but were so poor with decision making and finishing around the box. I think they ended up with one or two shots on target? Just not good enough.

Furthermore, although it's nice to have this lead against RM, AM are right on our heels and we cannot afford to drop more points.

Could have been a 7-point lead if we hadn't screwed up. Still bitter.

:facepalm1::shakeshead:

Or 9 points and Real pretty much out of the league race if we didn't sleepwalk at the Mestella. Well, guess we'll just have to be happy that it isn't just 2 points.

We should be worried about Atletico more. People seem to dismiss them very easy.

Don't dismiss the fact that Arda and Vidal are joining. We'll have Vidal as our sub in attack (much much better and more dynamic than Sandro/Munir) and Arda likely starting over Rakitic and upgrading our starting 11. Increased squad depth and increased peak capacity, not to mention that we historically improve in the second half.

we have a dip in January/February though. Last season was an exception, or Lucho's fitness.
