Madrid are not being 'helped' by the referees. They are benefitting from the close calls - which BTW you thought were all wrong - that were interpreted correctly. Giving nothing to Sociedad is not a slight - refereeing is not about equal distribution of calls. There were other occasions to that offside where the rule was enforced before and this goal, albeit borderline, was correctly ruled out.

Nah, doesn't do anything for his credibility. Particularly since they published a statement by a referee committee rep disproving Iturralde's speculative opinions about referees' understanding of protocol. He's just one referee hired for the job. Possibly due to his previous suggestive comments about RM, his background and history dating back to Mourinho days. In other words they use him because he's neutral in the eyes of non-Madrid fans, which makes his takes more broadly believable. Doesn't make his opinion any more correct than any other analyst, especially those that actually look at the monitors in the VAR room and know the protocol that he hadn't had a chance to even sniff.

I think you're letting it slip that us Barca fans use this place to also blow off steam. These conspiracy theories come and go and are short terms topics with hot takes and rants in our bad seasons.

To be fair you guys haven't had a bad season since 2015 where you went trophyless. In 18/19 you guys were basically recovering from the departure of CR and made a big mistake in bringing in Llopetegui for the first half. Just too many changes in one season.
