The Libertadores Final is more interesting than this game. Going on right now.

Is Odegaard even better than Alena? Looks to me like the same type of player.

Alena is not even in the same bracket. Ødegaard is different class.

Cool as you like lad. Watch some games, try to actually make cogent arguments against Zidane (or anyone else), maybe you won't get called out on it so often then and it'll save you from going to your "yea yea bla bla" fluffy routines ;)

All I did was saying it was a cross fest in the first half and you started mumbling. Did Zidane prove this tactics work without Ronaldo? No. Then you didn't win any argument. Stop flattering yourself.

Seems so atm, (he's been pretty poor in this game so far though). But I've seen situations fluctuating a lot.

Nope. You were saying this is all Zidane can do as well as a bunch of other things that are untrue or nonsensical. I provided you with explanations and clarifications. To which you responded with "yea yea". It's OK to admit you're wrong man.

Bale on. Hope he does a golf swing in the face of critics.

Ødegaard is the superior talent. He's been Real Sociedad's best player so far this season and was on fire before his injury. Was really good in the Dutch League last season too and Ajax initially wanted him as Ziyech's successor when it seemed like he would join a new team.

I like Alena, but I've always been worried about his position, lack of close control and his chaotic dribbling style. I think Puig is a better talent than Alena too. Just better technically.

I said 'that's all he knows to do apparently' in an obviously ironic way. It's not the first time you purposefully leave the nuances in what I say aside and interpret things how you like.

Benzema goal and assist. Both from crosses. Poor choice of tactics.

Lol. We beat these teams on Camp Nou with Ernieball regularly. The efficiency of a tactic is not measured vs vastly inferior teams.

Yeah, bar the first 15-20 minutes. I remain unimpressed by Odegaard. I just dont see it yet.

I feel the early goal actually did more harm to Sociedad. They parked the bus and allowed Madrid to spam crosses, which is what they do best. The way to do Madrid is to keep the ball well. That's why Barca have their number. They keep the ball and exploit their bad defense.

Sociedad barely tied together 4-5 passes without kicking it long on William Jose.

Crossing the ball is one of the simplest, yet most effective ways to score in football. Most teams outside of Barca employ it as one of their main tactics and it usually allows for space to open up down the middle later in the match.

If you have players that are good in the air why wouldn't you employ it? Don't have time for the purist blokes that brand anything that isn't intricate one-touch passing as a "lack of tactics."

This is the problem when Barca fans use 2011 Barca as their reference for judging football. Many warped perspectives.

Lol, we do employ crosses too, like every normal team. We just don't abuse them. We abuse other things, like passing to Messi. Madrid spam crosses to unlock defenses and hope for the best (usually errors from the defending team), we pass the ball to Messi and hope for the best (a Messi genius play). Both show a lack of creativity because it's done almost without thinking many times.
