Worst LL season in recent time! Barca and Real are so bad that it was the best opportunity for Atletico to run away with the title, but they are even more worse that they might even fail to get into the top 4.

Real Madrid is in transition, Atletico is in transition albeit to a lesser degree (having lost almost their entire backline, Griezmann and Diego Costa only plays sparsely these days), we are not in transition, at least not majorly, not yet. When Messi goes, that’s when we will be, really.

With Messi struggling these days due to age, declining abilities, injury or whatever reason, we are getting a prelude of what we will look like in the immediate years if we don’t transition and rebuild well. Mediocrity.

We can comfortably choke half of our remaining games so doesn’t matter what you piss away. And you’re likely to get Suarez back sometime in April no? Even more so if we do beat City and have to play on 2 fronts.

I think we’ll beat Eibar at home, narrowly lose to City, draw or lose to Valencia and same with a Sociedad at Anoeta where both teams are fighting for top4. Then we’ll see where Barca are with their results but if you’re going to go +5 at any point then title is pretty much yours.

you're a very pessimistic guy, aren't you

Not really, I'm very much the opposite by nature. I roughly know how my team reacts to results and what qualities it has at its disposal and how it plays vs certain teams. They've recently surprised me how well they held on with Barcelona, the pressing and defense is there and it's not accidental. It might be that we're due another surprise at Etihad, but IMO it would take too much to go our way.

This is beyond delusional. With that kind of attack, I just don't see Real's attack produce 2 goals against city. Ramos's absence will probably mean their defence will get exposed more than it usually does.

It's completely conceivable we fluff in one goal in some disorganised fashion, get a penalty, or score one from a corner. It's happened many times before. But I agree it's not likely that we score them without conceding.

Then again, City have shown they can be held back by good defense at home. Ramos is not a guarantee of good defense in clutch fixtures anymore so his absence might be a blessing. Militao however is not good enough yet, too electric, like early Pepe, he can have a great 85 minutes but then make the most idiotic mistake possible.

La Liga is basically owned by Madridistas so I don't want this to happen. Let's just make it a playoff format. two legs, top 4 teams fighting it out, with 1st place team playing against 4th, and 2nd vs 3rd. That way the first place team is somewhat rewarded. It would be exciting too. Final could either be two legged tie again or played in a neutral stadium.

Top 4 wouldn't work. It'd have to include as many contenders as maths allows i.e. anyone who still has a chance to overtake the leader at this point of the season. Similar for relegation/promotion.

They'll probably just suspend it and wait for UEFA to move the Euros to 2021, then wait for Corona to die down by July (hopefully) and if feasible, play out the rest of the season in summer. If they can't squeeze in remaining 9-11 fixtures by the start of the next one, they'll play to 35 games and award a winner then.

I agree, but no way would they give it to Madrid in 2nd place. It would look ridiculous. It’ll be us or no one imo.

probably the best solution right now, i don't expect the games this weekend to be played

next season might be affected also, shortened probably

If league officials decided to end the league for good but wanted to determine a champion, they would need to take the rankings after 19 games.
Just a thought. But anyway, no matter what happens there is no bad outcome for Barca in any scenario. We will be crowned champions if there is one.
