To be honest though we are the masters of our own downfall with the dumb individual errors.

Without them we'd be top now. I know it's the old if my Auntie had bollocks she'd be my uncle argument, but it's less Suarez being at Atletico and more our own mistakes why we are trailing them now.

If Barca can keep their focus and keep momentum going I'm pretty sure no one will be missing Suarez come what May.

I think in a nutshell we were let down by three things so far this season: (1) Overall inconsistency, often we played poorly after playing a great game or two and couldn't manage to build on the momentum (2) poor finishing by everybody and (3) defensive errors and blunders.

We played some games pretty well and deserved more points than we got, but this is football.

if you look at last year's matches, we and real were in about the same position points wise, in march.

meanwhile atletico was 20 points off the pace or something near that. suarez has won them 5-6 games with his goals this season? so there's that i guess.

that is mostly on koeman fucking around with the formation and not knowing how to play + messi being jaded or whatever the fuck. if messi didn't get his shit together in 2021 we wouldn't be having the conversation about title challenge.

Excuses in early in case Barca wins 'Messi got his shit together'.

If all on Messi then he is one that loses Barca title in first half of season if dont win it.... but no that wont be way it is applied.

When Barca win it is all Messi when dont it is coach and everyone else. Same shit been said for years.

nope. wasn't making it about messi carrying us to a possible title. but it mattered a whole lot, since the others barely know how to finish.

and yes, my opinion is most of the idiots that coached us are just mediocre to poor managers that got bailed out by the sensational players we had. guardiola at least had a vision, he made that team play a certain way.

but this is no news, happens at most elite clubs. see zidane or flick.

Messi is best player and part of coach and team is to give their player best chance to win games.

Some folk try to put all on Messi when win and others when lose.

If Messi only woke up in second half of season and started to win games for Barca then can point to him being poor and costing title if that is the logic.

Wont be though.

Sevilla and Betis away will be tough for Athleti. Hopefully we can capitalize on that. We still have the Clasico to deal with though.

need to drop the gap to one game in the next 4 matches, a draw against real would be fine if atletico drops points at least in 2 of the next 4 matches, they have also bilbao.

What is sure imo that all three teams have chances to the title.I really can t predict anything at the moment. We are in a great form, but i m still afraid we ll do a stupid mistake in defence in a "sure" game and we will all be deflated.Hopefully not.

atleti will drop points FOR SURE, they are not playing well and are just scraping by.

we can totally win this if we get results from both madrid teams...and after annihilating Anoeta...the wind is in our sails :barcascarf::messi::boss:

When you look at the remaining schedules you would think all 3 teams end up around 85-88 points.
We have the most difficult schedule, Madrid the easiest but they have cl to worry about as well.
Next 5 matches we have el classico and Villarreal away as tough fixtures.
If we get 14 points out of it it would be good but beating Madrid will help us greatly and hurt them so its a must imo.
We definitly cant lose that match.

Our schedule:

21.2. Cadiz H
24.2. Elche H
27.2. Sevilla A
3.3. Sevilla H (Copa)
6.3. Osasuna A
10.3. PSG A (CL)
15.3. Huesca H
21.3. Sociedad A

Atletico's schedule:

20.2. Levante H
23.2. Chelsea H(CL)
28.2. Villarreal A
7.3. Real Madrid H
10.3. Athletic H
13.3. Getafe A
17.3. Chelsea A (CL)
21.3. Alaves H

If we can somehow get into the international break at the end of March being 5-6 points behind them I would be hopeful.

Then at the start of April they will play both Seville teams away back to back while we have El Clasico so this is where the league could finally break one way or another.

I also hope they'll go far in the CL so more possibilities for them to drop points in La Liga. Still don't believe they'll bottle the title but stranger things have happened.
