That win at Montjuic was a turning point of the season for Villarreal, they are playing like a CL team and only lost two of the 14 games since then. Can still sneak into Europe too. Marcelino needed some time when he took over but has again proved he's a very good coach.
Looking forward to see what they'll do this summer. They have some good young players but overall their team is old and in need of a rebuild. They'll probably sell Alex Baena and hopefully will be able to spend that money unlike last season when they've sold for over 100m and only signed Sorloth for 10m (he has proved to be a great signing and is still in race for pichichi) alongside some free agents and loans. Next season they will also get back Pino and Foyth so I expect them to at least challenge for Europe, maybe even CL.
Should be interesting battle with Bilbao, Sociedad, Betis, possibly Sevilla although they need to rebuild too; expect a pretty big drop off from Girona who is not used to play in Europe and don't have enough squad depth so will be interesting to see what they'll do as well.
