La liga winter transfers

I see the other guys beat me with the Profit = Huge success comments.

With that said, I have just seen Celta spent 4.25m on a signing for their B team, which doesn't show on TM on their signings.

But of course LaLiga sell before signing, which is a growth problem in itself.

The total amount of operations carried out in the league championship this winter amounts to 26 million euros between the 20 clubs, according to data from Transfermarkt. LaLiga is the sixteenth league that has spent the most in the world in this transfer window behind leagues such as the Belgian, Russian, Chinese, Mexican, Argentine, or even the German Second Division.

What are your predictions for La Liga? Piqué: "1st Barcelona, 2nd Atletico Madrid, 3rd Athletic Club."

Proper prediction. You guys think somebody else joins the top 3? Maybe Betis if Tigrinho and Antony get serious? :pique:

Tebas should google what opportunity costs are. I'm sure LaLiga lost out on way more gain by buying nothing, than it would have by buying players that generate interest and hype.
What a clown, who thinks he can run a multi billion dollar league like a kiosk around the corner. But the teams keep electing him, so they want it like that.

WIthout Madrid and Barca, his league would have been as interesting as the Portuguese by now. And the income would have been on the same level as well. The two clubs he hate most literally save his ass and he refers to their success when asking about LaLiga's financial limits. Hypocritical piece of shit.

Tebas like a few in here doesn't understand the concept of opportunity cost.

Be believes austerity will solve everything.

Just wait until every league fails, then La Liga will be the last league standing.

Nah folk quoting 'opportunity cost' when thinking it would be a good idea to get Nike money upfront etc had precisely zero clue what they were on about as per usual.

It doesnt apply in that situation for all the reasons outlined and would be moronic for the club to think that way.

The reason opportunity cost doesnt apply to likes of Nike deal for all the usual numpties who argued more money upfront was sound business idea due to 'opportunity cost'

1. The theory applies to Nike on the other side also.. they would only give up such large payments upfront if it benefited them to in comparison to what would otherwise pay annually...So Barca in end get less from Nike.

2. Football clubs have to abide by annual FFP.. hence why it would be absolutely moronic to take more money upfront on books at expense of later years and would leave the club completely exposed if it was squandered. Hence why league wont allow it to happen and the 'bonus' has to be spread out anually.

The 'Opportunity Cost' idea is easy to understand.. applying it to Barca and football clubs in situations such as Nike contract the usual folk have absolutely no clue as proven.

Usual numpties with no idea. All been long discussed.

There is a reason clubs dont make deals like that.. usual morons with no idea.

Jamrock as dumb as fuck as ever.

He doesn't hate Madrid. He loves Madrid more than anything and makes no secret of the fact.

Madrid fans use his dislike of Perez ( even if it is genuine, I'm not sure it is ) as evidence that he doesn't favour Madrid, and people on social media seem to lap that up.

But you can dislike a president of a club, whilst still loving the club. As many of the Laporta haters here do with Barca.

Yea pretty much this.

Javier Tebas loves Real Madrid, but loves holding power even more than that.
Which is why he dislikes Florentino Perez or anyone that disagree with him, even if it's a small topic.
