Exactly. And when you have a slow build-up it's very hard to break defensive teams if they don't make glaring mistakes.

Yea, but the chances were mostly individual skill moves. That's how we played with EV too. No difference in speed of play.

Why dont they cross the ball more often? Just whip in a cross ffs. Seems like most times they literally want to walk the ball in the goal. Another thing that bothers me is we dont shoot more from range. Nothing wrong with passing but there?s multiple routes to the goal.

This is another aspect where our slow game is visible. We have too few players in the box. You can't cross the ball when you have 1-2 players in the box between 5 opponents.

Players like Coutinho and Messi who should be attacking the box when the ball is deployed in the wings just walk mostly. We have only Braithwaite and Griezmann sometimes (when he's not in a wide position).

The most to blame for this is Messi, since most of the time he is the one playing behind the 9 as a SS / CAM.

No wonder they have so few goals. You can't score goals if you don't attack the box and get your ass in good positions to shoot.
