Whats the point? You try to imply he would have a better standing if he was bigger. But he isnt. You can argue like that for anyone.

He is persecuted for being small. No way a player with that technical ability should not be at least a rotation player.

Look at what he's doing. He's just taking the piss of Granada with his quickness, dribbling, movement and passing. Pisses me off we don't get to experience seeing De Jong, Puig and Pedri, together, at least against weaker sides.

So he should just become a different player and body type? ;P I agree he should have more time, but as a backup/competition for Pedri. Theres only space for one of them to start. And Pedri is making a very good case.

It is. You can experiment with De Jong, Puig, Pedri in games. All are young. If it works, the benefit would be huge. This could be our midfield for the biggest part of the 2020s.

If we had Xavi or Pep, managers who like a bit more possession and more fluidity, they wouldn't resist at least trying that.

Seems like Koeman experimented pretty much with everything else, also with some dumb ideas, except this.

Who plays DM in those three?

There is zero chance should be putting FDJ back there.

Shifting best CM to fit in player like doesnt work.

We are not there right now to experiment. We finally show some progress under Koeman.

Koeman experimented a lot so far. The only one who didn't get a chance properly is Puig. Otherwise, he did everything right. The only one that is showing class on the field when he plays and then is forgotten is Puig.

If Koeman moves FDJ away from box to box to DM to fit Puig in he has lost the plot.

FDJ on this form is best box to box in world.

Today Puig, in his short spell, was better than pedri. Pedri needs a rest and Puig can provide that, or so it seems. I hope koeman sees that.

No hurt in trying ideas. Puig is starter material, potentially, if trusted. No doubt. When he enters, his quality is noticed immediately. Even in the Juventus game. So far, the handling of Puig is Koemans' biggest black mark.

This isn't about fanboyism. Puig's quality is very apparent when watching games. When the quality and the talent are there and they manifest on the field, you don't cut the player loose. Especially when the club is going through a bad time financially.
