No hurt in trying ideas. Puig is starter material if trusted. No doubt. When he enters, his quality is noticed immediately. Even in the Juventus game. So far, the handling of Puig is Koemans' biggest black mark.

This isn't about fanboyism. Puig's quality is very apparent when watching games.

Where does Puig play if he starts?

Moving FDJ is about worst idea possible. Would be better saying drop Pedri than that.

Because FDJ, Pedri, and Puig are all young, extremely talented players. That we already have. Plenty of times in football things just work when you have very smart, extremely mobile players. We can have a midfield triangle that is elite at keeping the ball, moving around, and controlling the game. Feeding Messi with exceptional service constantly.

That is worth trying before being dismissed as not viable. No harm trying that when up 4-0 in min 60 of a game.

Doesnt work with all being elite.

The three of them dont work unless put FDJ at DM which is a waste. Wont happen other than dead minutes to see out games would think or if resting others.

No future in it.

Sure. Been said often about many football things and then proved wrong. The only way to make sure is to have a go at it. In a controlled, risk-free way of course. That's also what great management is about. Exploring options that might not seem straightforward, but end up working nonetheless.

In that context exactly 1 time. And Busquets-Xavi-Iniesta are like 10 times more homogeneous than Pedri-Puig-Frenkie (juts looking at player types).

We can try it but De Jong's is liberated in this role, putting him back at DM and having him stay deep would be counter-productive at this point. Pedri/Puig/FdJ can play plenty of football as three options for two interior midfield roles.

That is a weak argument 'proven wrong in past'. Could apply that to anything.

FDJ should not be move to fit in Puig.

Team comes first.

All round good performance and enjoyable game. Messi finding form and smiling. Can't fault Mingueza and Umtiti at all. De Jong is a new man with this box to box freedom. Good to see Puig impress off the bench - hopefully Koeman will trust him more as an option

I would definitely try: 3 top talented players who may have the intelligence to blend together
