This team is too hot and cold.
After a good run in the first part of the season, they started to buy their own hype and went into a horrible run of matches.
Our fall started after a win in El Classico.
Now the same story.
Trashing of RM in a semi-important supercup match and we will play bad in league from now on.
It looks as if some of our players and youngsters live and play for short dopamine bursts like random cup trophies and El Classico but they don't have the motivation or consistency to play well for 9 months and win some real trophies like La Liga or CL.
With this atittude, we'll probably have 3 El Classico wins with 14:2 goals ratio, we'll win CDR and Supercup.
While RM will have 3 defeats in Classicos but they'll win La Liga and CL in the end.
Reminds me of post Pep era when we were winning CDR year after year while RM was getting KOd in CDR on purpose, to save the energy and motivation for April and CL matches.
Our players, even though talented, seems to lack consistency and motivation.
Somebody needs to tell them that the main goal of the season is NOT to win against RM but to win La Liga or CL.

You need much more than just motivation to break through that Getafe low block
We will see in the next games if they have motivation. Against normal teams that actually play football.

Fully agree there with you.
Flick had all the plan and it worked , its not his fault that the strikers misses sitters. Also all the media MD for example says that the ref should award a pen when Kounde been fauled.
This is an incredibly tough pitch to play on, against them we suffer like none else + we miss sitters + ref mistakes , so after all we gain 1 pt , which is not what we all expected, but more than 0.
We need to still focus, Real and Atletico will drop points also we will face them on the later stages.
Keep ya head up, not all lost !

Getafe - Real game for less Madrid got pen ... Just check the highlights.... is so obvious that we r getting fucked, cuz of the Neigera case ....
Against teams like this, pressing them constantly like we did in this game is not gonna work. It's like head-butting agaisnt a dense wall.
Sometimes we need to slow down, or even give them the ball and allow them to attack, so that we could have better chances and more space when we counter, and it would be easier to score.
I believe this is the tactic Real Madrid has been using against small low-blocking teams like Getafe this season, and they have been very successful.

Against teams that defend so compactly, parck the bus, we lack attacking alternatives, plans b…For example, 1. crossing for a header, but we lack height, the only good header target upfront is Lewandowski... or 2. trying shots from distance, Yamal yes, but we're not excelling in this area (midfielders like Pedri, Gavi, and Casadó can’t shoot).
