I think Abde will start instead of Luuk if match fit.

Also, crazy that 3 of the 4 in the backline (plus Busi at DMC) is the same as from 2012.

And that 2 of the 3 midfielders hadn't even seen pubes in 2012
May a person dream about a Puig false 9 this game? I am going into a depression if Depay gets minutes today and then begins to start each and every time again...

How long we're without pedri? Seems like eternity. Cant wait to see him back

That's what happens when you make an 18-year old kid play pretty much every game in his first senior season. Was bound to catch up to us sooner than later. Hopefully from now when we have capable people at the helm and some more depth he will never be overused like that ever again. Between FDJ, Pedri, Gavi, Nico, Puig and Busquets all being viable midfield options they should all stay pretty fresh throughout the season(s) with the right amount of rotations.

Slowly and steadily we're getting the players back... But what I'm curious about is... does the low age of the majority of the players that get heavy playing time makes them more likely to get injured since they are not fully developed physically?

If so... not sure it's wise to play them as nonstop starters, the way we've been doing with Pedri, Fati, Gavi since they broke out.

I think you may be onto something here but do we really have any other option but to play them at this point? They are not used to playing every three days against grown men. It definitely has something to do with the injuries.

Not sure. I doubt these players will be able to provide the necessary output in the next 2 years to achieve something big. But over that, if they stay hungry and we manage their minutes and pressure put on them wisely, we might be getting some elite players. If that is jeopardized by short-term "gain" I'd rather take it slower and suffer the eventual consequences.

That’s why getting rid of FDJ might be a bad idea unless we brought someone else in. Nico, Pedri and Gavi need a bit a nurturing. I love that these young players are getting tons of game time but they need to be slowly integrated. At any rate it will be interesting to watch.
