Should field strongest lineup no doubt. 8 days of rest before game and no midweek game this week either.

Plus we could go top of the table, monumental game. Can’t wait, don’t think they will let us down tommorow.
I expect a very tough match, first half will be key - hope they get out in front early

We need to instruct wingers to run into box and dive as much as they can. Vinicius and Mbappe stuff.
Then for other to swear at referees. Bellingham stuff.
Seems to work for Madrid. Most penalties in La Liga and first red for insulting a ref after 24 rounds of the season.

And then employ Barca TV to shit on referees and apply more pressure.

The problem is, if Barca does this we get booked for diving, instant red cards for swearing, still no penalties and on top the club would be sanctioned for applying pressure through their TV channel.

Will Olmo finally start a game? Should be the current gala 11:

Szcz
Kounde Pau Inigo Balde
FDJ Pedri
Yamal Olmo Rapha
Ferran/Lewa

That but with Gavi in place of Olmo would think and def Lewa up top over Ferran.

If well ahead will be early changed whoever starts as players on fringes not in that line up need minutes to keep sharp.

Eric Garcia in for this threat from set pieces!

Hope Flick does rotate a bit.
Why? The team had 8 days to rest and have to play on Saturday again. Now is the time not to rotate much, but to find the absolute best starting XI for the season deciding games and to get better used to each other.
There are still 2 positions undecided. Who plays alongside Pedri (Frenkie/Casado) and who will start on the #10 behind Lewy (Gavi/Olmo)

it is freaken cold in Chicagoland today. -14 Celcius, still dropping. I am staying home...This game will be a highlight of the day. I am pretty excited about it because this Rayo side, since I became a regular Barcelona kibitz since Lewa joined, was a hard nut to crack...if not a nemesis. All the more, the win will level up with the top 2...and then the season title chase resets for the decisive phase...Please Lewandowski and Szczesny prove the doubters wrong. Bi-polar Barcelona can be proven best there is in the recent years.

Hope they don't get too excited when we come back to 1st place today. It's harder to stay than get there but I believe team as a whole has been taught a lesson and they will be able to redeem themselves in the league.

The most important thing is not to get too far behind Madrid and Atletico because we are, football quality wise, above both and in case of direct encounters being necessary to decide the LL champion it would be a better scenario for us than for those two.

Ideally I would like if we could get seperated a fair bit from Madrid and Atletico by international break, we have easier schedule and more quality so should be feasible. Then we could maybe rest players in some La Liga games if we go deep in CL, as could have the luxury of risking a few points in that case.
