Brilliant games are only brilliant because intertwined by displays of mediocrity, which is what we saw yesterday.
The trick is to win those too because in the season's balance sheet, these wins decide the championship.

First half was a continuation of the previous game. Loose balls, bad controls and miscommunication all over the (terrible) pitch. Fermin was also terrible which made it all worse.
Olmo sub and restoring width (Yamal was central for some reason in the first half) fixed our main issues. If Lewa (and the others) were a little better at finishing we would have scored plenty.
We move!

Obvious difference is Xavi's every game was like this. Flick not really. It's only lately that we started winning games 1-0. Before Alaves I think Getafe was the only match we won with that result.

True. It's a good thing if the team can pick up points in not so good days like this.

This is a plus for me. Going from losing games in sily ways in off days to picking up the points by being more pragmatic.

It's part of what is needed to win big titles. Not gifting bad goals, beeing effective at finishing your chances when you can't create as much as in a good day, and so on. It is a sign of maturity. As the season is approaching the decisive March, April months, you have to tighten up the screws and get the results.

Barca looked controlled yesterday in latter minutes and extended their lead.

Las Palmas are not great but the pressure on Barca in these tight game as go late is huge.

They kept ball patiently and took chance to put game to bed.

Still looks like a team that are getting used to playing with anxiety nerves and that will be the huge issue of the run in.

It is one thing to be able to play swashbuckling football v Real and Bayern when not expected all that much from and another when pressure of favs arrives.

Both Barca and Real have dropped points this season once ahead and not chasing and Barca have tightened up a bit these last few games when have to win to go top and be many people favs again.
