We should at least make a complaint about this var call, that could not only have decided the game but the whole league. I mean, you can't go back 3 minutes to cancel a Barca goal and then pull this shit off, from a direct hand ball before the goal.

This is la liga trying to rig the result. Total corruption. Sort of like UEFA with the Alvarez penalty. The problem with VAR is it can be used by the authorities to manipulate results.

Honestly this is the sweetest kind of victory against this loser team. It feels much better to have given them hope and then snatch it away, than it were an easy and comfortable 2-0 victory from the start.

We've dominated them and lost, we've played well and got draws...I'm really happy we played pretty poorly today by and large and got the victory. Great mentality from the team.

Who could have seen us with a remontanda against a 11 man defence at the metropolitan with 20 mins to go? Crazy stuff.

It should have been 1:4, the handball was obvious. Hard to say who was MOTM. They all reacted as champs...equally. It should go to Ferran, in my humble opinion, due to 2 goals.

Must be said, it was a very dumb decision by Simeone to take off his son and Alvarez.... Easily the two best players on the pitch for them. I bet their fans are pissed about that decision

I love how the team channeled their anger from the handball to make a comeback like this. In the past they would leave the pitch with hanging heads and complaining to the referee. Mentality of this team is something else. You win titles with that.

That's when Xavi gets a red card for throwing a tantrum and deflates everyone's determination

Yeah and honestly it wasn't just when we were chasing. They seemed to be countering and creating chances very, very easily. I'm not sure if it was them being that exceptional at it or us being that poor..but then again they seem to counter and score against us for a few names now. I think they seemed to have figured out how to beat our line.


For example for that second handball goal, it was a simple 1-2-3 move where Sorloth goes offside and our defenders step up. Greizman instead of making the run, actually goes back deeper and let's the full back I think it was, take his place and our RB isn't in position to cover him. I saw them do this move which seems really basic, many times during the game.

we didn't gain advantage from letting the play continue so the foul would have been called back.

If the referee had acknowledged the handball and given play on that is.

So we can't say it was the previous phase and thus give the goal, but must instead disallow the goal.
