The whole point of Dembele being at CF is to offer threat of pace in behind and cause defences to doubt playing high line.

Lose that with Griezmann there or Messi in a front two.

To be honest Militao matches well to Dembele similar to Araujo with Vini. Two interesting battles there.

In theory we should have more numbers in midfield and should be able to control the circulation and control of the ball. Will be interesting to see how Pedri does compared to the first game where he was a much rawr player.

Griezmann resting is perfect!

Will Araujo+Lenglet+Mingueza be able to buildup nicely?
Can the midfield keep the ball and win the ball and dominate so that it's not just Messi+Dembele in attack but also wing backs and someone from midfield sometimes?

Threat of pace means defences sit deeper and gets Messi and others closer to the area.

Also means less pressure on the midfield and defence if teams have to sit back more.

Dembele not as good a finisher as Griezmann but team has been better for having him at CF.
