What is the use of pace when there is no end product?

And that is the beauty in Dembele and Vini. Both are the broke clocks that can be right twice a day. Question is who's day is it today.

(or you can read Jamdav's post, which is more tactically correct).

The whole point of Dembele being at CF is to offer threat of pace in behind and cause defences to doubt playing high line.

Lose that with Griezmann there or Messi in a front two.

Griezmann would've added better passing, better technique, better IQ, better finishing, better awareness and more experience. I'd anyday prefer that than playing a pace merchant.

He has been CF with Messi and didnt show that nor did team look a threat.

If he performed better at CF and team clicked he would be there. It didnt.

Individually yes.
But pace merchants force opponents to react and not play high line.
You lose that, they can pressure you, win midfield and Griezmann qualities will be useless

As much as I feel Dembele is a useless donkey his pace alone is a key reason why our play in the attacking phases have looked more fluid lately and his presence as a makeshift striker is vital until we can sign someone competent for the position.

Griezmann is the better overall player, but is redundant in a front two with Leo.

If he was decent at passing, technique, IQ, finishing, aware and experienced, I'd agree.
I agree that he is better than Dembele on all these things, but you can only miss a pass or not...

Dembele at least is fast so can be faster in a situation, he is also more likely to score a fluke goal than Griezmann
If I decided I'd rather put Sergi Roberto in the attack

Ok a bit of fun. Do Depay and Wijnaldum get in this lineup? If so where?

Or would K4 have changed the setup if they were in this squad.

Have no idea who you have been watching , its not the same Griezmann I see.

Also agree it's better to start Dembele over Griezmann.

If we are in position to chase result and opponent sits deeper, then Griezmann is the choice and he will enter the game.

I need to add that I am by no means sold on Dembele as starting CF next season. We are facing teams that sit deep 90% of the time that renders his pace useless and he is not an efficient scorer anyway.
