Because he used to play for them. The fans have been wanting him to manage them and I think he's expressed his interest in managing them as well.

They have new owners who have been investing this summer and Simeone could be the final piece of the puzzle.

It's way to early to write off Atletico. They've always have problems against teams that plays "their way" when they most take control of the game but they often manage to somehow score that one goal that was enough to win. Like mentioned yesterday I think Cholo is just playing to defensively and that's costing them. Against opponents that defends all game he should start with Carrasco or Gaitan instead of Augusto. I'd even go with Carrasco-Koke-Saul-Gaitan midfield but that's just too ofensive for him.

Chelsea have Conte and he'll be given more than just one season unless they fail really bad this season and I don't see that happening.
