I think La Liga overall has lost less talent this season than in previous years. And with more money that smaller clubs will have in the future they'll probably also be able to keep more and more talent over the next few years.
Atleti are now able to keep their best players, the same for Athletic (that is probably more due to loyalty of their players than their financial power but still). Sevilla is still seling their best players but have also invested a lot. Even a club like Las Palmas kept all their best players.
Not to mention that players like Ben Yedder, Franco Vazquez, Sansone, Roberto Soriano, Sisto,... also joined La Liga while some others like Juanmi, Toral, Roberto, Amorebieta... have return. Of course it's still impossible for clubs like Eibar or Gijon to financially compete with lower table EPL (or even Championship) clubs but I think situation is getting better. Eibar invested around 10M for new players this summer, the same as Malaga. And Betis spent more than 20M. Of course this is nothing compared to what EPL clubs are doing (most of them are just throwing money around and overpaying players) but still higher than in previous years.
One thing that really hinder La Liga clubs are obligatory release clauses which are usually very low. I think they should get rid of them so smaller clubs could get more for their players than they do now. A lot of talented youngsters have clauses lower than 5M which is absolutely nothing for EPL clubs.
