Personally, I want la liga more than the CL, and its clear the entire team gave up on it the instant we got back into CL. But that doesn't change the fact that RM are underserving, they have been unbelievably lucky in the fall + the common ref help, while barca had wrongly disallowed goals left and right. Now many are giving props to RM while bashing Barca, it pisses me off. Nothing exists in a vacuum and even Lucho's rotations aren't a bigger factor for our ultimate failure than ref help.

But why? Even considering the fact that its a while since RM won the league, i would still take the CL over it, its simply the biggest trophy in club football.

The fact that losing la liga guarantees the win for RM. I will always favor being kicked out of the CL when RM isn't the big favorite there, rather than losing la liga only for RM to win it.

He has made many mistakes. Playing Mathieu with a high line is one of them for example. Mathieu is slow in reactions, as an attacker you can move away from him very easily. Playing Gomes who is just breaking apart is another mistake, as was playing Denis who was shit as well. You have Roberto and Iniesta. Fucking use them in a decisive game like this one.

There is no point in resting players if you lose La Liga by doing so, something Lucho doesn't seem to get. The objective is to win, not to rest players. We won the treble in 2014-15, not by playing experimental squads in decisive games.

Yes he could have played Roberto, but it all depends on have much value you put on CL. Juventus is a top-class team, and with a tired (below-par) rightback + Iniesta we might lose.

Again, how big a defeat to Juventus would you accept and defend Lucho upon? Would you say "he made the right decision" if we won 1 or 2-0 to Malaga and lost 2-0 to Juventus + went out in the end? That is a very hard call.

But I agree RM hasn't deserved the title. All I'm saying is, that they have the best squad in the league. And that is why they are top.

It's April. The time to rest players is gone. Iniesta ok, rest him. Roberto is 25. And to make matters worse, they had to play anyway. So it was a huge fuck up all around.

Right decision was to drop Gomes, CL or no. It's not a hard call. If the team then lost to Juventus, blaming it on roberto having played 3 days earlier would make little sense.

Wrong - you can't play everybody for 9 games in April - that is suicide. But yes, everyone but Enrique knows that Gomes does more damage than good, and playing Roberto would have made sense. Starting Iniesta probably would as well, and then hope we could get a lead.

I don't appreciate Enriques choices, but many of them was forced, imo. E.g. it wasn't his fault that Neymar decided to be a complete moron and get a red + miss Clasico - it is hard for him to control that. But a Gomes-Denis-midfield is quite suicidal as well, I know.

Juventus played Marchisio, Dybala, Khedira, Higuain, Cuadrado. All of them except perhaps Cuadrado very important for them.

And they lead their league with 6 points and have won what, four league titles in a row?

Not only Juventus. Bayern has the title in the bag and played a full strenght first 11 even though they play Madrid. It's also important to form momentum and gain confidence with a great performance before an important game.

Lucho is an extremist. Whatever good ideas he has (and he has many) are ruined by the fact that he doesn't have a good sense of measure and timing. He will take that good idea and he will force it so much, that it becomes stupid instead.

No, wrong is fielding a subpar team vs a team that Barça have struggled to score against a lot recently. And the place to rest players is at home, not in difficult away games.

It is true that we should have capitalized on yesterday's draw but the fact is that La Liga if far from over. RM still have to play some tough matches, for example Sevilla, Valencia at home and Malaga, Depor away on which they will almost certainly drop some points. El clasico will be very, very important. If we win there, La Liga is still wide open for us. We have easier schedule untill the end of the season. We've already played all the tough matches.

Too bad we're losing points in the games that's supposed to be relatively easier. Too bad Lucho is committing the same mistakes all over again.

Yes! Nothing is decided yet, even though we have lost easy matches. Key players are coming into topform right now, so writing off the league would be too pessimistic! :)

We play better against better opponents. That's why I think we can win the el clasico. We step up against big teams. Note that our 4 defeats in La Liga this season were against 4 teams that aren't even in top 9.
