Depor coach: Garitano: "When the referee added 5 minutes in extra time, we knew this match wouldn't be over until Real Madrid scored."

We'll get Bayern they'll get Leicester.

This.
2016 started in a horrible way, continued even worse and is bounded to finish with that CL draw to happen.

I hope for some fresh air in 2017, because 2016, by a football point of view, felt almost like a curse.

Dortmund kicked their ass and they were all playing. This RM isn't scary at all. If it weren't for Ramos's super powers we would have been only 1 point behind despite our bad start.

Real madrid played just like that, they didnt care much, so if it was a last 16 match rm would destroy this Dortmund.

Watching Asspanyol vs Sporting.

Douglas is pretty good going forward but terrible at defending. He seems like a pretty good fit for a team like Sporting.

EDIT: Douglas just got absolutely torn in defense and Espanyol scored their second. Guess I jinxed it for the poor lad :(

Well, to be fair to Douglas, he did the right choice for making the challenge.

Moreno was just great in that moment.

You're are probably right, RM is more experienced when it comes to those kind of games. But this RM against a strong Barca... Think about it, we faced them two times and we were playing poorly. The first time it was because of that stupid international break, this time despite playing like sh*t we almost won. Zidane is lucky, but mark my words :eek:ne day it will backfire. What's saving his ass is his luck and his aura. He isn't a tactician, this situation won't last.

You are also forgetting that they have been heavily plagued by injuries to key players this season.

In classico for example they went without bale, pepe, kroos.
Imagine us going to classico without Neymar, Rakitic and Pique all at the same time.

Modric, Ramos, and others have been injured a lot too
They still manage to grind results

Compared to us, Real Madrid have actually a great depth (Lucas Vazquez, Kovacic, Varane, Isco and so on).

The gap between starters and rotational players at Real Madrid aren't huge unlike us.

Agree.

Isco and James would walk into any starting 11.

Like El Flaco said, they have a good bench. And of course they can pull out some good performances, this is RM that we are talking about. But that doesn't change the fact that they are extremly lucky and that one day their luck will stop. Don't forget that they can't buy players either. Imo the near future isn't going to be bright for RM.

 Not so much. Isco and James aren't clear starters for Madrid. I have a hard time believing two of Madrid's squad players would walk into the starting 11 of any team. That's an extreme statement, like many around here.
