It is a cheap gamble, and he is a professional gambler.
NBA was never bringing him back, too much of a package and big ego along media attention. He doesn't bring something on the table worth the trouble.
Maybe if Josh Green turns into a top notch 3&D winger, teams might value him and he gets second opportunity.
Important footnote: it's Dick Schreuder, not his brother Alfred lol.

Nope, didn't watch Segunda so far this season.
Mirandes is known to get good production out of Atletico loanees. Both Rodrigo Riquelme and Sergio Camello had good season there a few years ago. Looks like now Carlos Martin is doing well too.
Will try to catch some of their games and also Zaragoza and Andorra.

I've catalogued the last 20 years worth of Castilla players who played at least 1000 mins in any season at the club.
Many of them have also gone on to play for Mirandes. Loads at Cadiz lately.
Theres some hilarious ones.
One player is on loan from Cadiz to an Iranian club called Tractor FC lol

Updated table with 4 rounds left.
Leganes have finally won their last game vs Eldense after drawing previous 5 games (four of them were goalless). Valladolid on the other hand is in great form with 5 straight wins while our boy Jordi Masip has not conceded in 628 minutes. Only needs 18 more minutes to break his own (and club) record from the 2021/22 season when they were promoted.
Espanyol have drawn 6 of their last 8 games under a new coach (their third of the season), would be great if they wouldn't even qualify for the playoffs. There are certainly teams like Sporting and Levante who I would prefer to see there over them. They also play Valladolid and Oviedo in their next two games.
Also, remarkable that pretty much all but two midtable teams (would say Tenerife and Cartagena, maybe can include Zaragoza too alhtough based on their form don't think they are totally safe yet) are still competing for either promotion playoff or fighting against relegation.
