He's had a good game, doesn't matter. Everyone will be saying how awful he is after his next bad game. We need to stop going after these 100m purchases.

We cannot afford to keep paying 100m every year with no return. However good he is or isn't, this is not the time.

If we shipped out some high earners like Suarez it may be possible. We can put him on way lower wages than Suarez and the cost of transfer and wages spread over a 5 year contract might not look too bad.

If don't think we can bring him in with Suarez here, though.

We all feel Suarez should leave but we'll need a replacement

I'd bring him if we can work out some trade of players + some money on the side. Paying even 80m. for him is out of the question since we don't have money.

We need a couple of years of rebuild - no 100 million players. No team consistently buys players for 100m+, not Madrid, not Juventus, not even the oil clubs. Every team has a solid core of players brought in for cheap, the superstar signing is the one needed to make an already good team great. Trying to rebuild with more 100m players trying to put in 5 barcaloungers into an apartment that hasn't even had it's roof up yet, and then having no money for anything else.

The only way I could see this working is Coutinho+some cash. Coutinho has no value for us especially after those comments on Friday.

Something like Coutinho+Firpo+30 million would be a good deal for both parties. Just cash? Hell no.

Wtf, Coutinho + Firpo is more than enough.
