Lautaro Martinez

Difference being in 2002-2004 Eto'o and Villa were scoring these goals for much weaker teams. Mallorca and Zaragoza finished mid table. Inter have been title contenders all season and are considerably stronger than most teams in serie a, not to mention they have a proven winner manager at the helm.

Interesting stat tbh.

Only counting goals in top divisions:

Eto'o (until and incl. 03-04 season)
173 games
70 goals
0,40 per game

Villa (until and incl. 03-04 season)
46 games
21 goals
0,46 per game

Lautaro
127 games
52 goals
0,41 per game

Villa cost Valencia 12M in 2005, Eto'o cost Barcelona 27M in 2004. No idea how much that'd be worth today.

You can't count Lautaro's numbers from Argentina...

About the price, Etoo was 27m and Ronaldinho was around 30-33m that summer.
Ronaldinho was already a world cup winner.

World record back then was around 66m for Figo and Zidane.
Figo back then was like Neymar today, so around 220m.

If 66m for Figo was like 200-222m for Neymar today, then Ronaldinho was roughly a 100-110m guy and Etoo was 90-100m guy in today's market.

For example, Etoo's price was double than the price of Cr7 to Man Utd.

When we signed Etoo, Deco was 26 and CL winner and his price was 20m.
Let's say that Deco was a 70m signing.
Guily was a Cl finalist, aged 27.
He was around 30m today.
Edmilson 27 years, around 25-30m.

Di Marzio says inter gave us two choices.

Pay the 111 million or 90 million + a player but so far we aren't budging and the situation remains blocked.

from what this guy has shown thus far, hes 60mil at most.

hopefully Inter continue asking ridiculous amounts and we look elsewhere - i'd even rather bring Neymar back than waste 100mil on Martinez

Braithwaite could probably do the same job this guy would be doing here

Yeah. But I understand them, they don't want to sell him.

But we have idiots that are going to brake bank for him.

The signing of Lautaro Mart?nez for Bar?a is complicated. Inter Milan are increasingly convinced that the Catalan team will not be able to make a competitive and realistic offer for the striker, so they see very few options to achieve an agreement. [gds]

Good. He's a 60m player and that's me beung generous. Also fuck Inter, let's all agree to never do business with Inter ever. They're stingy when buying from us and predatory when selling.

Inter are bluffing imo. They surely can't genuinely believe that anyone (other than us lol) will pay anything near the 111m release clause, which runs out at the start of July anyway.

Now El Mundo Deportivo will publish a lie how Real Madrid entered a race to buy Lautaro.
And then Lord Barto will save the day and steal this shitty player from evil Real Madrid for 111M and we should be happy.

Classical politics and lying to people.

** Oh, and expect: Lautaro's dream is to come to Barca.
Yet, we will have to give him 3-4 fold higher wages than at Inter.

So funny.

My favourite one of the last week or so was Sport reporting:

"100m offer for Fati"

"150m offer for Fati"

Then...

"Fati isn't for sale"

"We won't sell for under 170m"

But apparently the offers weren't even genuine. Classic stuff to get the fans on side.
