The hate for Flick tells you why good PR is so important for managers. It's all about perception.

The guy won a sextuple and would have won another CL if his main man wasn't out for the big tie.

Got results while playing the best brand of Football. People talking about him like he's a total bum.

Is it coz they're still salty about the 8-2 and can't get over it?

It's because he had a crap WC and has hardly managed despite being 58.

Tbf he had a good run with Hoff but then took a decade or so to get back into being the main manager.

International Football is completely irrelevant to club Football management.

The likes of Scaloni and Southgate would shit the bed in club Football.

International Football is more about creating a good atmosphere, team spirit, unity and keeping the tactics very basic and beneficial for your group of players. And then there's the biggest factor: Luck.

Flick wouldn't be a disaster, he's a huge improvement on Xavi but it does feel uninspired. I guess we should be just be thankful Laporta won't hire another ex-player stooge.

You can't compare Scaloni to Southgate.

Scaloni is in another level in terms of tactics and he also shown he was very versatile in terms of switching tactics and personnel during the Copa America and the World Cup (the first 80 minutes of the WC final was a tactical masterpiece by Scaloni)

If anything Scaloni shown that he has the capability to be managing top level at the club level and keep in mind he is still very young managerial wise.

Scaloni has a lot to prove in club football. Let him manage in Europe first and win big titles. Then we can talk. Let's not big him up based on a couple of NT tournaments where Messi was fucking immense in.

Laporta should fucking do the impossible and start courting Klopp now. In 2 years max he is gonna coach again. A competitive guy like him with so much ability is not going to sightsee the world in fucking Indonesia and cook dinners for the rest of his life.

Klopp and Pep, or Pep and Klopp to respect the order of greatness. Do whatever humanly possible to secure one of them long term. That's the only path that is sure to bring success for this club.

They are the only 2 managers that are truly elite class.

The club is in a state of deep denial. Everyone talks big, Barca this, Barca that, but they can't attract a single elite tier manager or elite tier player. Do fucking something truly big, or drop your fucking expectations.

Dreaming big and signing likes of Romeu or some cheapo signings, or going after managers that have been sacked by other teams for non-performance... lol... this is the big plan?

Path A is big plan with big solutions. And big money.

Path B is building the young players slowly under a long-term reconstructions with lesser expectations. Something similar to Dortmund, except you don't sell the players to other teams once they reach a high level.

Path C is putting huge pressure on everyone to win big things while doing jack shit to make it happen on club level.

Don't have to tell you which path is the best and which path is the most delusional and the most shit going forward.

Best thing would be for Xavi to stay for 1-2 more seasons and get Klopp or Pep next. Much better than some new guy that may or not may not succeed. Let Xavi with the youngsters, dial down the pressure, and get someone elite next.

Im amazed how underrated Scaloni is in this forum, 2018 Sampaoli Argentinia was a disaster and Scaloni transformed that headless chicken team in 4 years to a deserved WC winner team, what more can we expect from that guy

But I don't think Pep is gonna come back. He knows full well by know about the toxic side of the club. So, Klopp is the one. He could win a CL with new stadium and improved finances 3-4 years from now.

Pep wont come back and i have a bad feeling about Klopp, imagine he goes to Real after the 2 years...

I think we should think in present time, we need a solution now, not in 2 or 3 years. If the new coach isnt succuessful we can still think about Kloppo or a new coach

The fuck does successful even mean? Xavi was close to a domestic treble in his first full season. How much more successful can a manager be on short term compared to that?

Success like that is hard to achieve on current conditions. It's not a slam dunk as some think.
