It's funny so many here insult coaches that have shown serious work, and yet the same people were willing to swallow the blue bill with Xavi who was the one whose work called for clubs of the size of Al-Ettifaq

And, if you are not braindead like Malvolio, you would understand that you never compare someone winning the Sextuple with exhilarating football to someone shithousing his way to a CL that should have never been won with shitty football

PS: I happen to have good memory: I remember very well the afternoon before the 2-8 various current Flick doubters that were then pushing the line 'Bayern is overhyped' 'Barca can eliminate them' etc etc
Then, reality slapped them in the face really hard
Calma. You think Potter is better than Zidane (3 times UCL winning coach).

Guy who won sextuple is a bum? OK.
Who are your top 3 picks besides Pep and Klopp?
Yes, Flick is a nobody that found himself in that position by pure chance.

Bayern would have never employed someone like him if he was on the market. No club took a chance on him after he left Bayern/German NT(Bayern probably couldn't give a shit about him leaving anyway).

The guy just had one lucky streak with a Bayern team that had no serious rivals domestically. In Europe he won the Covid CL, where even the likes of PSG and Lyon reached the semis.

He went to the German NT and was a disaster. What kind of top coach does that?

I don't know of any player that he bought or raised from Bayern's academy to be a success. Look at what players he wanted to buy but Bayern board declined -
He has no charisma, no aura of a great leader, no personality for a club like Barca. He's not even respected by top players or managers. Never heard of someone be in awe of his accomplishments, apart from usual polite shite that you tell the press before a match.

You want charisma and people having personality and being in awe, then hire Mourinho?

Who would you hire? I want also Pep, Klopp or Tuchel but we wont get them so need the second best solution. Flick and De Zerbi are better than the other guys

I'd only take Mourhinho till summer as an interim instead of Xavi. But it won't happen and he'll never accept such an offer in the first place.

Tuchel might be on the market if he loses the title to Xabi Alonso. But don't know if he's worth the trouble.

I'd go with Arteta/Xabi, but probably out of reach for us. Otherwise I'd take a punt on someone like Will Still or some other unproven former player who hasn't failed yet in management.

Mind you, the unproven guys I would choose as temporary solutions or picks to hope for a jackpot.

My idea is to play offensively. A short team that controls the game, high pressure and a lot of movement with and without the ball. I want the player that has the ball to always have three or four solutions and two teammates close by to help. The difficulty in football is, often to do things simply but to control the base, pass and get free. I don't like the numbers of the field because they trick you. You can be super offensive with a 5–3–2 and defensive in a 4–3–3. Depending on the quality of the guys. I had a game a while ago where the two full-backs ended up playing as the 9 and 10. But that doesn't mean I don't like people like Samuel and Chiellini, born defenders. Could it be a 2–7–2? No, the goalkeeper counts as one of the midfield seven. For me, the attacker is the first defender and the goalkeeper is the first attacker. The goalkeeper starts the play, with his feet and the attackers are the first to put pressure to recover the ball."
