"Cruyff would bench me for losing 3 balls; now they lose 20 balls and nothing happens" [md]

My striker

Well the game is alot faster nowadays. Also I've watched some old games recently and the ball was turned over alot back then in an easier manner really

More 'gossip' about Messi from Eric Olhats (Griezmann's former advisor):

"Antoine arrived at a club where Messi has the final word on everything. Messi is a monarch & didn?t take kindly to the signing of Antoine. Messi's attitude has been deplorable & made Griezmann feel unwelcome."
"Last season, when Griezmann arrived, Messi didn?t speak to him and didn?t pass him the ball. I think he suffered because of a negative adaptation.?
"I?ve always disliked hearing Griezmann say that there are no issues with Messi but never the other way around. It?s a reign of terror. You?re either with Messi or against him."
"In my eyes, Messi said he wanted to leave to see what role he still had as a decision-making player, regarding the players who arrived and those who left, but he eventually stayed. Classic Messi! As good on the pitch as he is bad off it."

This guy (whoever he is) is just trying to stay relevant. There is probably a pretty good reason why he's Griezmann's former agent.

And Griezmann uploads this photo.

Raki has also talked about a relationship between the two...

?What I saw was that they got along very well,? he told El Pelotazo on Canal Sur Radio in quotes carried by Marca. ?I got along wonderfully with [both] Antoine and Leo. The two drink mate together and spend a lot of time together in the dressing room.

?If the both of them start to score goals there will be no more talk ? that?s the requirement and expectation of a great team like Barcelona. I don?t worry, though, because they?re two spectacular guys. I wish them all the best.?

I think things are very overblown in the media. Sure, they will never be best friends off the pitch (which is a good thing anyway) but they are both professionals and can and will work together. Now it's up to Koeman to find the best roles to get the best of both of them and for Messi and Griezmann to work on their finishing which is letting them both down at the start of this season. When they'll score a few goals their confidence should improve and everything will look easier and better. We'll need them both especially now with Fati out. Can't really count on the rest of the team to score too many goals. Maybe Dembele as long as he stays fit and Coutinho can also add some goals when he returns but in general we just don't have a goal scoring threat from our midfielders and defenders.

Of course they get on. You can see that when they celebrate. All of that rubbish about messi not passing to him was bullshit. I'd actually say messi has created most chances and has assisted griezmann either the most or close to. Why would anybody listen to a man who is part of an organisation that are probably the scummiest people involved in football

wow.

It might actually work for the following reason:

PSG plays with 3 attackers staying up top and 7 retreating, especially in big games. They tried to do that vs Bayern in the final.
Messi will essentially take the place of Di Maria. Creativity-wise PSG will not lose anything, they will gain.

Then Mpabe has lightning speed, which Suarez did not have, and can provide a point for Messi to direct through balls in space.

Of course Di Maria defends and tracks back more,
but Ligue 1 is a farmers' league and 90% of the time Messi will not need to do that.
