Lionel Messi - v7

I have to agree, but not really for family/living situation. I just don't think City and Pep would accept him running less than 7 km a match. That wouldn't fly for Pep and EPL as a whole.

They will have to, nobody says no to Messi these days and certainly not Pep. Plus, not that Messi can run much more than that, given his age and stamina. At best they will get an Argentina NT version of Messi, I think.

2-3 years in Manchester then finish his playing career in their MLS team (New York City) and being a global ambassador for them after that.

It's also an FFP trick I think because they can put some of his salary onto CFG instead of Man City by overpaying the back end of the contract

Can't wait until he arrives in Manny and see's about 5000 Liam Gallagher prototypes all wearing Adidas Gazelle's and Stone Island jackets. He's gonna be bamboozled.

He wont be anywhere near the riff raff.

Big house on outskirts with an indoor pool and between there and training.

His wife and kids speak English so will be fine.

Hmmm. Good point. It is going to be Messi signing a contract not with City but with CFG (including all of its subsidiaries such as City and NYC FC etc.) and they can just fit his wages etc. within CFG and move them around conveniently if needed, something like that.

Plus if his mate Sergio sticks around he can help settle them in. Manchester is a decent enough city anyway.

HOw does your wife speak fluent English, your kids pick it up quickly, and yet Messi still speaks terrible lazy Argentine Spanish? And Still no Catalan or English? :facepalm1::facepalm1:

Some people are just not very good at learning another language, totally understandable.

It isn't hard at all, he's just lazy. Live in the right part of Belgium for example, and just by existing you'll end up speaking 3 languages at the very least. I've seen the dumbest idiots (I'm one of them) seamlessly flip through different languages like it was nothing. Learning a different language isn't difficult, even if you learn it passed puberty and well into adulthood.

Either way who cares.

I wanted him to stay to break Pele's record, he'll do just that and then depart to finish his career at some pub side.

Not many are good enough to play for Barcelona past 32. We are not AC Milan retirement home
