Lionel Messi - v7

Still the giant among pygmies and the best player on the pitch, though it's obvious he can't do it with the Marie-Louises anymore. No one understood it better than Messi that this was end of a cycle. Hope he leaves for his own good as well as let the club undergo the rebuilding process.

His shooting has gone from the best in the world to abysmal in a matter of no time. I wonder if his training has anything to do with it, is he just going through the motions during training now that he doesn't want to be here? Maybe, maybe not. But it's not hard to imagine.

Also, he continues to dribble aimlessly into a hoard of players, being a turnover machine while he's at it. While he wasn't that bad yesterday, if this is Messi's best these days, we really really need to part ways.

It's unfortunate because I think Messi is the GOAT, not just Barca's GOAT but the overall one. Having said that, I really don't want myself to start hating him, because when I see him with his head down and wearing that captains arm band, strolling around...it's not easy to not have a fit of rage. Let's hope we can part ways more amicably this summer - we have to write off this season anyway.

I dont know if you are serious or just trolling

well, we wound't be worse than this. valverde could organize a defense and suarez could have donkeyed his way to a goal, unlike griezmann who does nothing.

getting rid of rakitic or suarez was just to erase their salaries from our books. might as well have kept them + valverde until this winter when elections would have been held anyway. we instead fucked around with two useless managers which experimented to no success.

we haven't progressed or got something right since sacking valverde. even our so called rebuild is a shambles.

Exactly. Ernesto was a true tactician and a first-class gentleman. The only managers that could succeed with this piss poor squad are Valverde, Ancelotti, Pellegrini and Pochettino. Klopp and Pep need young, fast players. They dont know how to handle with our luxury group.

Dude, how old are you? Making multiple accounts so you can quote yourself? Surely there's more one can do with life

Ain't that obvious that Messi is sick and tired carrying Barca for years. They show him their project and Messi realize it's shit so he wants out. But instead Barca hold him hostage so that they can blame him for this sh1t season

This him being "best" on the pitch comes from the fact that 99% of attacks get forcefully funneled through him making it look like he's orchestrating everything. I hope you understand why this is flawed logic.

Messi fanboys think it's because no one else in the team can create. They genuinely believe every single attack goes through him because there is no other way.

His team mates in attack are nowhere near barca level, it was a tragedy watching him makeing 1-2's with ball getting in misplaced directions all the time.
Its unbelievable to think that after ronaldo, kluivert, eto'o, ibrahimovic, villa, suarez we now have braithwaite. This is exactly the state why we are in position that we are.

Most of those 1-2s he attempts are absurd and would never work against two compact lines of four. Which they of course don't. He got plenty of service yesterday and failed to score nonetheless.

To clarify, I'm not talking about 1-2s in the attacking third, but the ones from deep. They get intercepted every time.

Can we stop making those signature 1-2's already? They are quite predictable by now and teams have figured them out already. Find other ways.
