Lionel Messi - v7

Messi is a winner at the highest level. City's players are not winners yet. Quadruple has been a theoretical construct for City fans since 2013/2014. In fact, Kompany became a meme for it.

City players will have won more in recent years by end of this seasons and idea of 'winners' is cliched as well.

If add Messi to that should expect more than 1 league and 1 CL in 3 seasons.

If they were to win CL or quadruple/treble this season which is unlikely but not impossible at this stage then have to expect more. Any meme about Kompany is irrelevant.

Not sure how messi at 34-35 would make them more competitive than they already are for cl. Surely it shouldn't be expected from the get go.

But they never won the CL.Messi has 4 of this babies in his resume. They can win their league for how much times they want, until a CL is won,City will never be taken seriously.Same with other oil club-QSG.

Yea, don't see it either. City need to stop looking scared in CL. They are tense as fuck and look a shadow compared to their PL version. Messi is not gonna provide much in this direction, especially not at this age. You don't need Messi to beat Lyon ffs. You need to stop clowning in defense and score your clear chances.

What of that is relevant to what I said?

City are taken plenty seriously. There is a reason why likes of Messi would be choosing to join them.

PL is the toughest league in the world and has been so for 2-3 years since Neymar and Ronaldo left La Liga. If winning PL doesn't make you relevant... nothing does. Except maybe winning CL.

Absolutely if they sign Messi it would be expected by City, Messi and anyone watching them to improve them.

If not then they shouldnt sign him and he shouldnt move there.

The biggest reason for the signing would be to win a CL from both City and Messi.

Thats right but if a Messi comes to your team it can give you a extra strenght like a new coach effect.

Let's HOPE that Leo rests tonight during the first half and comes in as a sub to score 1-2 golazos

I literally don t consider the plastic clubs being big clubs. And yes, the reason City bring on Pep and QSG bought Neymar was to win the CL.I am glad they failed until now and i hope it ll continue until the sheiks get bored and this clubs fall into mediocrity again.City more than PSG,as the latter, being the main club from Paris, will always be a big club in France.
