Nice of those people behind Messi to stay in line and thank the GOAT for giving them a career.

setien and koeman's posture speaks volumes.

setien, the only bum in the lineup who didn't win anything while having messi.

koeman stands as if he's impatiently waiting for his first trophy with messi.

Don’t agree. Now we’ve realised you can’t play Pique-Lenglet in CL, this team can give anyone a good game. That’s without Fati in the team and no proper 9. A couple of good signings and we can compete imo, we battered PSG away when we sorted formation out and they were in final last year. Not saying we’d be favourites against those teams you listed but team doesn’t need as many changes as you’re making out.

I would not mention the PSG away game while neglecting the context of the 1-4 loss in the first leg. I'm not sure PSG didn't approach the 2nd leg more relaxed thanks to the massive lead from the Camp Nou game.

Our team is good. To win CL we need some changes in key areas as you say.

There’s an element of that, but even Verratti said after game the way they played was a big disappointment and they couldn’t attack. Also putting it down to PSG being “more relaxed” is discrediting the clear improvements under Koeman since he changed formation. 6-1 away to Sociedad isn’t them being “‘more relaxed” is it?

A CB, no.9, Fati and Araujo returning and were looking pretty formidable.

I'm not discrediting Koeman's work, which I said it's outstanding since that slump at the start of the season on the dedicated thread. I just think the context of the first game can't be denied when analyzing the PSG game in France.

This team hasn't proven anything in CL for a good few years.

Eibarman going on a well deserved break.

Let's hope he returns with the same form and a 5 year contract extension.

With Fati's knee issues and Haaland probably out of our price range, I'm getting less optimistic about what happens if he stays.
