Lionel Messi - v7

I don't know. Messi is a type of guy that is very detached from reality. Maybe in his mind Aguero is still a top, world class striker. Wouldn't surprise me at all.

You mean the GOAT doesn't know much about football and what and each player exact value ? or maybe less than trolls in the internet who never kicked a ball in their life ?

Yeah sure, the one detached from reality is you.

People thinks to be on the level of Messi & CR7 is just sleep train and go kick the ball !

PSG also hasn't got much of a chance of winning the Champions League. They missed their best chance a year ago. Their squad isn't that great besides Mbappe, Verratti, Marquinhos and Neymar, and Neymar is constantly injured and is declining. Mbappe's head might not be in it because he only has 1 year left on his contract. They have more of a chance than winning than us, but their chances are not that great anyway. I don't think they can afford to have Messi, Mbappe and Neymar in the side due to the FFP in any case.

If Messi wants to win the Champions League, he's probably best going to City. They have a much better squad overall than PSG and us. They can improve their squad quite comfortably. He knows Pep well. Pep will play the football Messi wants to play. At PSG, they tend to play more of a counter-attacking system against decent sides.

If he stays with us, the squad is probably going to struggle more next season than this season. Our squad is one year older. Our squad isn't that great in the first place. We won't have a good manager to help us through it. We have no money to rebuild properly. The only reason we had a bit of form from February to April is because of Messi, and you can't expect a 34-year-old Messi to keep carrying us.

He has a tough choice on his hands. If he stays, it'll be because he doesn't want to move his family..... and that he's settling for an early Champions League knockout and 2nd or 3rd in La Liga for the next 3 years.

i kind of thought you were implying that. assuming he rates him higher than the likes of braithwaite? that's a theory every other forummer would entertain.

Could Aguero provide more that Braithwaite? Sure, he has the pedigree and maybe he rediscovers a bit a form and scores 15 goals. There is always a chance of that, but is he the type of player that elevates our squad to any meaningful degree where we have a better chance in the CL? Absolutely not.

My point is Leo might not fully understand the extent to which Aguero has declined and value his signature as a major reason to stay.

don't think laporta or messi think that we can win the CL with aguero as starter striker. it is a stop-gap option that is free and fixes the idiocy of us going into the season without a legit striker.

Actually, this team needs a leader for the defence, before talking about a striker.
We know Araujo, Mingueza are very unexperienced actually.
Lenglet and Umtiti have no place in the squad.
Pique, I don't trust him now; he is finished for the highest level and very slow.
We need a new leader for defence which has the physical abilities + the experience. Otherwise, we can't compete for any big title.

We can literally get by with loaning in an experienced CB and RB, buying a young CDM and buying an old experienced ST to replace Braithwaite

Why do people really salty when in the end, it's his decision to agree to the contract or no. Saying he only care for money when he said wanted to leave last year, but held back by mr. president and co. Barca has a chance of reducing the salary cost significantly and gain some huge transfer fee (though not hundreds of million), im sure clubs will still queue for 80-100 million last year, but they chose to ignore that chance. Result: unmotivated 1st season messi.. missed some money opportunity. Just appreciate what he has done and let him choose his next destination. And never really pay attention to those media, if not from the man himself.

We just want to know whether he stays or not, the Neymar dramas in recent years have cost us a lot of strength/energy, we are too old to have to go through that again

Him staying silent is the main reason there is drama surrounding him all year long .. also the silent treatment is unhealthy and can be considered a passive aggressive behavior

In a club like city for example, respectful players like Aguero and Garcia informed Pep Guardiola early on that they won?t be renewing and he accounted for that in building his starting 11 squad taking into consideration the seasons to come and which of these players will remain so that he further builds the understanding and team play between the players

Simply put, if Messi was a normal Barca squad player (say Roberto), would him being silent about his renewal and him creating all the suspense he created last summer be considered acceptable? If not, then we have a spoiled brat within our hands

I see you are having your tri-monthly fit again.

Jokes aside, you cannot compare the likes of Roberto or Eric Garcia to Messi and last summer he stated pretty clearly that he wanted to leave and said months ago that he would only make his decision about his future after the season have ended. So everyone, or those who followed the news at least, knows that his decision will come in the coming weeks.

The name of Messi is so big he makes clowns like you looks stupid in real life.

Comparing Roberto to Messi !! two cells brain at it again.

As said above he made it clear last season as their is no serious project ongoing in FCB, if it's still the case he will fuck off.

Laporta is a politician so of course he will try to play on Messi's emotions.

Understandable. I just have a thing against people who put a facade that they are perfect people, and Pep is guilty of that as well at times, as opposed to being real and random .. no person is perfect and his image of a good boy isnt everything nor is it that inspiring tbh because its unattainable to most people. I have watched this clip so many times and it rages me that he did not great nor acknowledge the existence of Dembele, and his entrance is too exaggerated (hopefully for the cams only) because everyone is treating him as if he is a superior being

These are such trivial things I am surprised you even care about it.
