The odds aren't low because the bookies are certain he'll win or have some inside information.
They're lower because a lot of people are betting on Messi. Bookies hate losing money.
That's why they suspend betting on certain things sometimes, even fake rumors because a lot of people put a lot of money in.
Messi still need to start next season well to lock it up IMO. If he's off to a slow start and Lewandowski keep his momentum from last season he might sneak away with it.
