I don't think Messi deserves this.
Both his 2020 and 2021 were not that spectacular, and the 5 Copa America games do not change that.

19/20 has nothing to do with it, though. Breaking Muller's record is nice, but Messi had a good season individually and was by far the best player of an international cup he also won. Think it's a clear case unless he has a stinker at the beginning of the season.

You really should have thought twice before posting this. Should I remind you that Lewandowski played in a well set up team in the 2 seasons stated in your post, while Messi played in a shithole and still managed to perform ? If Messi and Lewy played for Bayern and Barca respectively in the 19/20 and 20/21 seasons, there is no way your argument is valid.
