True, but MSN masked those midfield problems since Xavi left.

Now after NeyNey's transfer stunt, past his prime Suarez and at the end of his prime Messi, the problems are becoming evident. Needless to say that Ernie's static football and Barto's board shitshows didn't help.

Our rebuild of the midfield should've started after the treble season when Xavi left. At the time we had a good Rakitić, great Busi and an at the end of his prime Iniesta. We should've started bringing in young players and trust them. Instead we bought a faliure called Andre Gomes and the rest is history.

Lucho's abysmal midfield tactics didn't help.


Now we are in 2020. Our central defense needs rebuilding (Pique-disinterested, Umtiti-hospital patient, Lenglet-not good enough to start). We need FB's (Alba-more and more injury prone, Semedo-Not the best option, Bob-Bench player at best). We need an attacking midfielder. We need a B2B midfielder who will replace Vidal. We need a striker. And we need a creative winger, who could take a bit of the load off Leo's shoulders.

Definitely missing something these days. Growing number of goalless league games are starting to piss me off. Last season he would’ve had a hattrick by now against this wide open Levante side.
