Lionel Messi - v7

Do you have a source for this?

That's just my opinion.
If I were Messi, I would have returned on the first day of training if I and my team fucked up the last season like that.
To be honest, 32 yo is still a kid in a way and he has plenty of time to be a good daddy and family man after he retires. It's also not like footballers have no daily life during the season. He is approaching the last phase of his career as a player and I would have focused a lot more on football if I were him.
If this is not a fake injury, the only reason for this sudden injury would be his poor diet and physical preparation during the vacation. Perhaps these footballers in Europe are less professional compared to NBA, MLB, NFL or tennis players?

Yup, I'm worried about Ronaldo with De ligt in defence and Euro 2020 next year, so Leo needs to be in sensational form this season

Calma calma bro. Ronaldo can't win, he's only got 16 goals this calendar year. That's shocking by his standards and it'll be nearly September when he has his first game of the season.

Messi is on 33 goals for the year so LET'S HOPE he can add another 15/20 to that tally by the end with some amazing performances along the way.

I think he is speaking about next season if Messi doesnt win it this year, next year could be even more difficult as Ronaldo also has an Euro 2020 which he could win.

Seems Messi is still holding a grudge against Griesmann. The tap on Griesmann leg showed Messi did not let his grudge go too far.
So far, mostly cold shoulder.

I mostly saw it as Messi watching the match and didn't notice Griezmann until he tapped his leg.
I don't think he has a grudge against him, but if he does, I hope he gets over it for the sake of the team.

Oh ok, I thought there was something that I didn't know.

I get what you are saying, but I think it's unfair to expect him to return to the first day of training (July 15 I believe?) even with the huge fk up of last season seeing as he played a Copa America match just a over week before (July 6) after a very long and demanding season. Returning one or two days before your entitled vacation day is not going to be the make or break for the entire season imo.

Regarding if this is an injury or not, we can't know 100% for certain that he was injured or not but injuries like that can happen even in training exercises. Maybe it's a very small injury but the medical team don't want any risk to him at all before the start of the season seeing as it's only preseason games. If it was a league game, I'm sure he would have played.

Well i'm talking about this year's and Messi is in the hot seat to win it. The Balon Do'r for 2020 what you are talking about is about 1 year and 5 months away lol don't give a shit about that one right now.

Come on, Griesmann was getting subbed off playing his first match in Camp Nou and getting a standing ovation.

Somehow messi did not notice all of the above.

I think he intentionally looked away. Good thing he tapped Griesmann on the leg.

The game was still ongoing so maybe thats why he was looking at that direction where the ball was.

Also, Messi looked up at Griezmann in a bit of surprise when Griezmann tapped him on the knee (even the commentators of the video that I've uploaded said the same thing that Messi didn't know Griezmann was there).

If he knew that Griezmann was there and possibly had a grudge, I don't think he wouldn't have looked up at him in a bit of surprise or tapped him back.

Anyways, it's not a big deal anyways so let's just agree to disagree.

It‘s a fake injury 100%. What does he want in the US?!
He is just back from holiday so he has to prepare and not travelling around in the US. The club has to fake it in order to get sponsorship money. He will train in Barcelona and be perfectly prepared for the start of the season

Why would Messi hold a grudge against Griezmann? Just because he didn’t come last summer? I understand some fans would as I did, but why would the players care? It is not like they anxiously expected him to come to reinforce the team like some of us fans did. That said, Messi might not feel close to Griezmann in particular and that is OK, these players are adults and professionals and they should know how to work with each other.

Am I the only one worried about his injury? I have read it is the soleus muscle which is what has been ailing Bale all these years. Messi might be out for a while, weeks if not longer. Also this might trigger muscle problems later into the season if not being managed carefully. If Messi is out for a significantly period of time we are fucked.

I think Mbappe is the favorite for 2020. He's great at padding his stats and he'll have a great chance to win Euro 2020 and a decent shot at CL if Neyney stays.

lmao ofcourse he ignored greaseman on purpose. messi have tunnel vision then? ofcourse not, ofcourse he was greaseman dont be ridiculus. but i dont think its a grudge or anything, is more likely messi wants greaseman to know who's the big man in this team. kinda of like roy keane would do when new cocky players would come to man united so that they know their place

Griezzman said he sometimes lays in bed and dreams about playing with Messi, but they have a problem with eachother? What a dry summer, can't wait till it ends.

Griezmann and MEssi can save our season. We know we can't rely on Valverde and his tactics. We need individual brilliance to win anything next season.
