Seems Messi is still holding a grudge against Griesmann. The tap on Griesmann leg showed Messi did not let his grudge go too far.
So far, mostly cold shoulder.
I mostly saw it as Messi watching the match and didn't notice Griezmann until he tapped his leg.
I don't think he has a grudge against him, but if he does, I hope he gets over it for the sake of the team.
Oh ok, I thought there was something that I didn't know.
If I were Messi, I would have returned on the first day of training if I and my team fucked up the last season like that.
To be honest, 32 yo is still a kid in a way and he has plenty of time to be a good daddy and family man after he retires. It's also not like footballers have no daily life during the season. He is approaching the last phase of his career as a player and I would have focused a lot more on football if I were him.
If this is not a fake injury, the only reason for this sudden injury would be his poor diet and physical preparation during the vacation. Perhaps these footballers in Europe are less professional compared to NBA, MLB, NFL or tennis players?
I get what you are saying, but I think it's unfair to expect him to return to the first day of training (July 15 I believe?) even with the huge fk up of last season seeing as he played a Copa America match just a over week before (July 6) after a very long and demanding season. Returning one or two days before your entitled vacation day is not going to be the make or break for the entire season imo.
Regarding if this is an injury or not, we can't know 100% for certain that he was injured or not but injuries like that can happen even in training exercises. Maybe it's a very small injury but the medical team don't want any risk to him at all before the start of the season seeing as it's only preseason games. If it was a league game, I'm sure he would have played.
