Dude you are really annoying. Have a bit of respect towards the biggest player in history and a guy who provided us with so much joy during the last 15 years! He is the main reason we won all those titles during the last decade. I agree it's time to rebuild but Messi should always be respected by our fans. He deserved that FFS!

Messi has carried the club on his back for a while now, he contributes more to Barca than any other player does at any other club. He has provide a goal or an assist every hour of football for 12 years, no player has played at such a high level for so long.

He has been carrying barca since 2011-12 at least(, only exceptions were 2015 (second half of 2014-15 and a large part of 2015-16 where yiu had peak MSN and the whole of the team played well)

I suppose you can carry a team to a point. Neither Messi or CR can carry a poor team anywhere near a CL title, that's for sure.

The most you can say about Messi "carrying" Barca is to say he's been the main reason for our prolonged La Liga dominance even well past our prime. But even then he's had help. For example in 2017-18 our defense was really good the whole season IIRC.

He carried only a slightly better Barcelona to a La Liga title last season, and within 3 games from a treble.

If last season wasn't a player carrying a team towards a trophy then no player ever has.

Why is he not doing that for in CL regularly for last few seasons or regularly for Argentina in major tournaments.

It is an easy answer.. he needs a team around him as all players do in order to make that difference.

There is a big difference to being the best player in a good team to 'carrying' team on shoulder single handedly as is made out.

This is a team sport of course you need to have a proper team around you. Would Jordan won all of those rings if he has played for Sacramento Kings? Without Pippen, Rodman, Kukoc, Grant, Jackson? NO he wouldn't. Just look at Bulls era before Jackson was appointed! Bulls couldn't win titles regardless of Jordan. Of course Xavi and Iniesta were important parts and so was Pep but Messi was the crucial part like Jordan was for that Bulls team. Both of them carried their teams in crucial moments.

Messi has "carried" Barca a lot, but a lot of that is his own fault. Suarez always plays because he's Messi's best friend. Messi publicly spoke in EV's favor after the Anfield humiliation because EV made him and his amigos comfortable. Etc.

He can still produce magic on the pitch, but he is one of the amigos and he is part of the problem.
