Messi’s idea today is to continue competing at the highest level. He doesn't believe in the club’s sports project, is uncomfortable with Bartomeu, and would’ve preferred to have Xavi on the bench.

No surprise he doesn't believe in the club's sports project. The board has wasted money and also gone after marketability rather than bringing in any real quality to improve the squad.

I think messi's main doubt about the new project is that he will be more or less alone. The generation he grew up with Will be gone soon from the team. It's a bit like if you grow really old and your friends all die. It's kinda time to move on then.
Maybe that coupled with that as a captain, he doesn't fit as a captain and failed the two years he had the responsibility. Idk, just my thoughts

I?m honestly fine moving on from Messi. I?d like to see him get more trophies, especially another CL, and I?d like to see us get what we can from him and start building on our young talent. Will be a rough couple of years, but we?re just delaying the inevitable. Does anyone really think we can win another LaLiga or CL at this point if we keep Messi?

With his workrate in big matches he wont win a CL again.

We easily could win a CL with Messi again as long as we bring in younger, faster talent that have some footballing IQ. Messi is a generational player and can easily create scoring opportunities for others.

He is older so his weakness are more exposed, but with the right team around him we would be very competitive. Almost won a CL in 2019 with a terrible squad.

I guess it it true that Bartomeu paid a company to run campaigns online against the players.

Sad that so many people are just blaming Messi for the team's decline based on unsubstantiated rumors.

He doesn't need to do that, these forum and some Twitter accounts already doing that for free for him

Messi is bluffing, as always ...

Yep. Doubt he has any intention to leave this summer. The club need to call his bluff because he's not got the best interests of the team at the moment.

If he was demanding better players then fine but he wants his washed up team mates who are dragging him down to stay.

His output was pretty good vs Napoli. I don't want to read to much into the media who-ha regarding Messi right now.

If he is willing to work hard and be surrounded with fresh hardworking teammates then we will have a great Messi.

But right now better to be cautious with reports and see who actually leaves and see if the signings are any different than who we were linked with before Koeman.

Everyone believing any rumour out there. Just have some damn patience and see what we'll have after 1, 2 weeks of Koeman. Not to mention Barto has the press in his pocket and his MD and sport lapdogs are working overtime trying to absolve this garbage of any fault and shift the blame towards anyone but the rat face.

We can confirm that the Argentina international forward transmitted his doubts about the new sporting project to Koeman, which includes potential exits for Luis Suarez and Jordi Alba, among others. [Moises Llorens]

If this is actually true.. yeah he needs to leave asap

sick of watching him and his amigos destroy this club with their selfishness. they could learn from other greats like Xavi and Iniesta who bowed out gracefully but they seem hellbent on milking Barca for all they can
