Lionel Messi - v7

It's funny seeing the naive people who think he will uproot his family and go to rainy Manchester, seperate his kids friends, whole new culture etc.

This is just another of Messi's moments it will end with a fat renewal.

Why do you think the board are only saying they will not accept offers and onky want him to stay.

It's the contract renewals saga of our time folks a page from Rooney's book

I feel it differently this time, his last 2-3 years as a top player staying for a team that needs at least 2 years rebuilding ?

He won't leave folks.

Just another muh retirement v2.

Messi is known for this, and 10 renewals atm.

Rumours last year were that Messi wanted a massive pay rise and we only offered 100% of his image rights and the same salary.

We will empty the bank account to keep Messi happy make no mistake

If you are right (and I don't believe you are) that this is just another tactic from Messi's camp to jack up his salary in the next contract renewal then I'd have less regret to just let him leave. Thank you very much and just leave. Learn English and enjoy Manchester or wherever you want to be.

No player, not even Messi should be deploying this sort of tactics just to get a bump in pay.

[TyC Sports] | Lionel Messi will join the training sessions scheduled to start from 31st August.

Cya in training leo

If Leo Messi, in the end, decides to go to training, it is to try to avoid embezzling the situation. Nothing has changed. There is no way back . He does not want to be rebellious if he does not go out in the best possible way and also avoid a strong sanction. [Alfredo Martinez]

Neymar also came to pre-season with us, trained and played in matches until his move to PSG was made official.

He's on far too much money as it is. We can't afford and shouldn't give him more. Now is the time for him to go and if we can get 100m for him all the better.

LMFAO he doesn't care dawg.

He's won the treble twice, UCL 4 times and has 6 ballon dors.

Man has earned his right to stroll around the pitch and be paid an obscene amount for it

There's so much pressure on Barto already this is the best time to pull a stunt like that.

What do you think the meeting with Messi and Barto will be for lol.

You really think we won't bend over backwards at this point?

Just look at the clause in Messi's contract to let him leave for free, you know why right? In case they don't agree to a new contract he leaves for free and demands an insane signing on fee.

Not to mention he has 100% image rights, not even Real Madrid would have ever agreed to give CR7 above 50/50 split.

Face it dawgs Messi senior loves money and this is the best time possible to use Messi to extort us for it.

Most of all, this a sad moment, for FC Barcelona, for Messi and for Football.
Messi and FC Barcelona was like a perfect match, its sad that Bartomue and his board destroyed that in a couple of years.

There are 2 reasons he's leaving:
- the team is not competitive anymore, maybe a La Lige title if Real Madrid looses focus is the best to hope for and there's isn't much money to properly strengthen the team

- the bad and deteriorating relationship with Bartomeu and his board (the politics, the backstabbing, the incompetence)

Dealing with an incompetent board might be doable when there's a chance you can keep winning but if there isn't...

or maybe if he had a good relationship with the president he would accept a year of rebuilding

Koeman disrespecting him (if the reports are true) and his mates for shure probably didn't help.

He's not leaving lol. Sad to see people believing the usual propaganda.

If Perez gave CR7 the contract he wanted then he would not have left either.

Get the money not those garbage players we have enough of them

Ah the bidding wars begin. Man City is just the first to offer something. There will be three to four more top clubs.
