Lionel Messi - v7

People who think we'll sink to the level of Sevilla will have a big surprise when we'll starting building a new side and we'll trash teams on Camp Nou like in the past relatively soon in the rebuilding phase.

I suggest you guys rewatch Barcelona Betis 6-2, with Carles Perez, Griezmann and Rafinha as our front 3. Fast team, with speed and hard work in offense. Scored some goals in that game after recoveries in Betis last third. This is one of the things that will improve with fitter players. The ability to win the ball back in danger zones for the opponent. Probably one of our best and most complete games in recent years, one of the few were we actually weren't gassed after an hour or so.

Valverde Master Class 😆

Just speculation on my part, but I think Koeman scared Messi away - he must have said something Messi didn't like and now Messi is acting like a spoiled brat. Not classy at all from Messi if that is the case.

This theory gotta be the funniest shyt, Messi afraid of someone who's a midtable manager and an EPL failure. But i kinda agreed that Messi afraid of Koeman plan of keeping Semedo, Griezman, Countinho and planning to buy Depay. Looks like another disaster season in coming

Skysports :

Messi relationship with Koeman is strained and beyond repair. Koeman told these things to Messi :

Vidal and Suarez will be sold
His privilege are gone in the Team
There will be no signings due to Covid 19
He has to work for the team from now on

Sounds like they want Messi to be their slave 😆

The 33-year-old Argentine has requested a personal meeting with the Barcelona hierarchy to discuss a solution to the impasse over his transfer request, Sky Sports News can confirm

Again, we start the season around 3rd round, so we had over a month before the season.
And he many rumors that he informed the club in July.

That is true, but that was for short stretch, and with Suarez carrying offense.
We will have neither of our top 2 scorers.
And btw, EV is actually a better coach than Koeman. Sure he doesn't have the star power Koeman have but Koeman career as a coach was the definition of mediocrity and inconsistency.
His youth fetish and history fits the club needs, especially after his best spell as a coach with NT. Doesn't mean it will work well. At the end, this is the same guy that told the club they must sell Puyol because he will never make it to 1st team. That was 20 something years ago
, but still shows it isn't that rosy

.
Fck up if TRUE

I am not delusional but I do believe in 3rd time is the charm.

Could EV have made it all click to win us a treble?

In my unpopular opinion yes.
La Liga 3peat

A coach is a huge factor. See Bayern with Kovac and now with Flick. Same players but the coach turned them from a cat to a lion.

So how about Pep then, constant failures. Is he not the right man for City ?

 Real Betis. I would love to see mr play-it-safe griez plays against a parked bus. Least clutch player. if you scroll the thread pages back, fans were giving excuses Griezmann for not performing was that he was playing with Carles, and rafinha, and not Messi. One game against Betis like how people were raving that one game against Napoli. Not consistent enough. If u dont have quality, no matter the amount of hardwork, its still aint enough.

We'll see what happens during rebuilding phase. Pretty sure theres gonna be more excuses why griez isnt performing even if he were to play that central role.

By your logic, that's. a Valverde masterclass then

So, still thinking this is Messi's "power play to get his amigos to stay"?

Is Messi still a cunt @Serghei?

It depends how do you define success. Just by winning the UCL alone? Then only one team is successful in whole Europe every season, and the rest are failures. Pep broke all EPL records and you still call him a failure?

I think if the Barto and the board resign, Messi will rethink his options. Given his history with Argentine NT and how he retired when the team has failed, then to change his mind and come back, I would say this is a big possibility.

Barto needs to fuck off if we need to keep Messi, even if he himself says otherwise.

I don't think so. I think he wants out either way at all costs

What are you for calling the best player of this club's history, who served the club for a decade with professionalism and contributed to its most successful spell ever, a spoiled brat, for wanting to leave the club, exercising the freedom he was promised by the board?

Nothing is certain at this point. He says he is legally free based on the liberation clause but yet he hasn't agreed personal terms with City or any club. He refuses to attend the PCR tests or training since he isn't obligated. My only guess now is he's stalling somehow. Waiting to see what transpires with Suarez before making the next move.

If his team genuinely believe he's legally a free player, what's the hold up?.
