Lionel Messi - v7

So, still thinking this is Messi's "power play to get his amigos to stay"?

Is Messi still a cunt @Serghei?

We must be careful. The truth will only be seen once the season starts and the window is closed. Who is still here and who is there.

Messi is the GOAT, but there have always been redflags overlooked by his quiet demeaner and him delivering on the pitch. We created this, because he was just that good.

His influence in selections has been unparalleled in modern football though. Look at Mauro Icardi and his international opportunities for an example outside of Barcelona.

ommmmmmgggggggggg La Liga have confirmed he has a 700m buyout.

Incredible!

Tebas know he will lose a galactical amount of money if Messi leaves to the EPL.

URGENT - LA Liga agreed with Barca that Messi has A 700M BUYOUT

La Liga will not de-register unless buyout is paid

OFFICIAL: La Liga states that Messi still has a contract in force until 2021. Furthermore, they also state that the player has a termination clause (which Barcelona say as ?700M) and can be freed only through this clause. #FCB 🚨🇦🇷

It's done, goodnight folks Messi is staying

I think if the Barto and the board resign, Messi will rethink his options. Given his history with Argentine NT and how he retired when the team has failed, then to change his mind and come back, I would say this is a big possibility.

Barto needs to fuck off if we need to keep Messi, even if he himself says otherwise.

Hard to put it that way, Argentina is where he was born and it's his own country after all. He just feels he failed them whereas in Barca where the club spent millions on players that they can't recoup. He has also won everything at Barca. He probably wants to his remaining years to win one UCL or even the PL at least.

Have to consider his age where the rebuilding process is going to take longer and he's not going to help that process nor benefit from it.

Nothing is certain at this point. He says he is legally free based on the liberation clause but yet he hasn't agreed personal terms with City or any club. He refuses to attend the PCR tests or training since he isn't obligated. My only guess now is he's stalling somehow. Waiting to see what transpires with Suarez before making the next move.

If his team genuinely believe he's legally a free player, what's the hold up?.

He would be a fool to attend the PCR test and training as that would be admitting that his contract is still valid.

It's not about believing. I agree that it is not clear cut, and it needs to be.

We must be careful. The truth will only be seen once the season starts and the window is closed. Who is still here and who is there.

Of course.

Terrible example. That was on Mascherano and the other veterans of the national team. After some of them retired, Icardi was called up. Even posed with Messi in pictures on Instagram.

After CR if Messi leaves La ligua it will be a first since maybe 20 years+ seeing la ligua without a top tier star.

Sponsors not happy.

Now, NEGOTIATE.

Clown Tebas did us a favour. Sit down and negotiate a fee.

50m + Silva + Garcia and he is all yours, City. Just deal with it ASAP.

I said this yesterday when everyone was convinced Messi is a free agent. I said don't believe everything you read and Messi won't just walk out for free.
