I still dont get this logic. He is already going down as the worst barca president, what legacy?I was listening to Duncan Castles and he said that people around Barto think selling Messi is the right sporting move, but Barto won't because he doesn't want to be the president who lost Messi. Messi going to City for a reasonable offer is best for all parties, but now won't happen because of how it would affect Barto's legacy.

Also if Messi signs a contract in january to leave next summer for free that is still on him.
At this point, if messi wants to leave he should be willing to take it to court. Can't rely on any good faith from an unscrupulous snake like Barto. Just trigger a unilateral break of a contract(either with the end-of-season clause or Weber ruling), hire world class attorneys, and let the judges decide. By all precedents Ive heard the sum will be smth around 100 mill(which would be a fair price now) and in any case by the time we get a judgement Barto will be long gone. Heck next board might even withdraw the case. In the meantime Messi can get a provisional certificate from FIFA and move to city. Sometimes in life you've just got to take a stand or be pushed around by ppl who dont follow any kind of moral code.
I think Messi hatred against Bartemou will be infinity. He literally keeping him like a Prisoner
Him staying would be nightmare scenario. I think I wont watch a game we play until he leaves. Safe to say after this relationship between Messi and Barca is beyond repair, this is terrible look for club and player that has degraded to laughing stock of football world.
We'll need years to get back to Mas Que Un Club.

He has to go. Best for both parties.
Also why are players like Pique so quiet? That guy always has something to say. Especially when there's controversy. Now, he's like a mouse.
What do you expect Pique to say in current situation? Which side should he slide with? His friend or the club that has made him what he's today and still pays him high wages? Nobody can really stay neutral as is evident from diverse opinions we have here and it's even harder for someone who's directly involved (as Messi's friend and an employer of the club). Whatever he'd say people would complain about his words and it could create even more controversy so it's better to stay quiet. His job is to train and play, not to talk.
And a tactically amazing coach.
Best Clasico record out of any manager.
Best UCL win % in the world.
Nearly took a team in crisis to an undefeated season.
Dismantling Real Madrid without Messi.
Playing incredible football at times giving us a tease of what the club could do without the seniors
