Lionel Messi - v7

We lack the balls as a club to do that. Should happen effective immediately. Don't want a guy who doesn't even want to be here to lead the new team. Put someone hungry from the new wave. Maybe De Jong.

He is not Catalan or La Masia so I doubt he will ever be the captain. It's FC Barcelona bureaucracy.

Hindsight is easy to say. Maybe K4 coaching time changes us too.

There are other examples. Sulking Stevie G is one where his move to Chelsea failed. Liverpool won the CL the season after.

All I'm saying is he gets paid enough to be professional for one more season. Who knows what will happen if he puts his head down and works hard with the rest of the team again.

Again, not the same thing at all.

Our squad is shit. We have a mountain of debt. We have no money to rebuild our squad. Besides, we don't have a good coach to take us to the next level. If you think we can compete for the Champions League, you have no clue what you're talking about.

Might as well spill it out now. You want in on the Forum de Amigos, right?

Hell no, I stand my opinion as unpopular as it is and take pride in that. You do the same and I highly respect that. That is how one adds value by adding a different perspective

I was never the one to fit in

I don't think we will win the CL. But I am not rejecting the course of action the club is taking right now, with or without Messi, as I see it necessary for our future.

The fact is we just do not know if we will be better or worse next season. Let's wait till the end of the window to see if there is money or not.

If Messi stays, he has to and will be professional. It is still Fc Barcelona he plays for and on the highest wage in world football. Before the end of the season Bartomeu is gone anyways. Not all doom and gloom.

Can't say I'm happy with the news.

It's going to be a season with this guy (our captain) being miserable and possibly having a media shitstorm of him clashing with the board and Koeman.

It's gonna be a mess, dawg.

surely he can't still be captain after this?

FFS, I was looking forward to a front 6 of Griezmann, Trincao/Fati, Dembele, Wijdnaldum/Coutinho, FDJ, Pjanic.

Not Messi and Suarez again. Here we go with more putrid, static football.
