Lionel Messi - v7

Well, they won't and he'll leave for free. And we remain with the principle. It's shit for us any way you slice or dice it.

Yes I agree he will most likely leave for free in 2021 and Barca will not suffer for having him and City can wait and get him a year older.

Yes, but it still cost us nearly 90m in gross wages. So, if next season is a write off either way, I'd rather save those 90m than give it to Messi. That's Camavinga for example right there.

This is what people don't understand. If we sold him for 120m euros, we'd also be saving another 100m from his salary and bonuses. Regardless if we use that for transfers or not, at least it can go towards the debt. It'll help the club in the long run. If they're worried about losing his marketing money.... well, he's gone in 9 months anyway.

No one 'does not understand' Messi salary would also be saved.

Are yo saying Barca generate same income whether Messi is there next season or not?

City insiders and reports in England have suggested City won't move unless Barca and Messi sort out their differences and Barca agree to negotiate a sale.

Bartomeu probably don't want to sell to Txiki and Soriano either. So I think there's more layers to this than people think.

No... City need to make a bid and not wait for Barca.

If no bids go on that are seen as worthy then it is on City not Barca.

You are desperate to have a situation to blame club for not selling him.

City is probably just waiting and seeing if they can sort things out first. Messi wants to leave on good terms. City may still put in a bid even if they don't agree on good terms. We just don't know yet.

More than those two it would be Messi under Pep again that they would not want to see.

If there was even a remote choice they would choose anyone but City most likely.

He is staying. Jorge and Barto will negotiate the terms. One of the term is probably the condition that Suarez stays. I'm sure of it.

It is funny how everyone mocked me for being the only one to say that Messi will stay. Saying I was deluded etc.

Now the narrative has shifted...
