Rakitic also did not dismiss the idea of Vidal etc playing as friends with Messi.

He's only staying because we're forcing him to stay. lol
It still won't change the fact that our team is shit. Our defense is still the same but one year older. Our midfield has kinda improved, but we still have too many similar players in that position. Coutinho will probably be on the bench for most of the season. Dembele will probably get injured. Fati is still so young. Griezmann has been a shit signing so far.... can't see him improving much next season. Then we'll have a really unhappy Messi out there. And I doubt Koeman is going to improve us that much. We also have no money to bring in quality players.
This is about to be our worst season.

Was on twitter last night.
Was asked if Vidal played ahead of him due to being friends with Messi and said something along lines of 'I dont know about that but strange decisions were made'.
Rakitic is a bit deluded if thinks Vidal could not have been ahead of him otherwise but would of thought he would quickly dismiss that as a reason.

Based on the fact we just had our lowest points total in the league for quite some time. We've been getting worse in the league for a few years now. The only reason we won the league a couple of years back is that Real Madrid's squad was worse than ours. Then we look at the Champions League performances. We've blown a 3 goal lead twice.... and we just got blown out 8-2 to Bayern... and we actually should have lost to Napoli the round before. We're truly a shocking team away from home.
Our squad is one year older. We have too many average players in our squad. We also have a coach who isn't exactly that good. Then, we'll have an unhappy Messi out there, and it won't take much to piss him off. We also have no money to rebuild.

Possibly finishing 3rd to 4th in the league. Possibly getting knocked out in the group stages of the Champions League.
It's coming out that Messi is only staying because he can't get out of his contract. So, we're basically forcing him to stay. He probably doesn't want to take the club to the courts.

If Barca finish third and get out of group while making some of the changes needed for future that will be far from worst season ever.
Poor Messi being 'forced' to stay on contract he signed.
He is not avoiding courts for any other reason than been advised it is a bad idea and would most likely lose. City know the same.
