And you know what's sad about all this? ungrateful fans shitting on him when he's by far the least of our worries. Yes, he has bad performances and yes his form is bad at the moment. He's not playing as he used to when he could dribble past 3-4 players with pace. But when he gets marked out or taken out of the game, isnt it the role of the rest of the "forwards or midfield" to step up? We have officially turned into Argentina 2.0

He could've easily scored two goals though. By his standards the chances he had were ones he usually scores 9 out of 10.

A problem with this strategy is we're usually sh** when we have Messi on the bench just waiting for him to come on and do something. It's true we haven't seen how we'd look without Messi under Setien yet but I don't expect much would change (for the better anyway). We've looked better when he was injured and everyone knew we have to go through the game(s) without him.

Under Setien we are usually somewhat ok in 1st halfs of the games (also in El Clasico), it's just up to if we managed to score from the chances we've created. Then we fall apart after 60 minutes. Now if Messi would come on around that time he would certainly be a big boost for the team but if everyone around him would already be be tired and he would walk around like he usually does then his impact off the bench wouldn't be as big as it could be, especially if we would already be down for a goal or two (which could easily happen because Messi's absence in the lineup could also cause opponents to attack us more) and everyone would also be nervous.

Loving the comments on that post. This club has dug itself a hole that’ll take a few years to get out of. Sarabia is exactly the type of personality this club needs.

If the players have this much power in the club where they can straight up disobey their coaches with no punishment, then I’m all for a complete rebuild even if it costs Messi. Players come and go, but the club remains
