Lionel Messi - v7

Do you think Laporta would say no to such outcome if presented with a chance? Highly doubt it.

If in the end La Liga chickens out and concedes and let us register Messi, I think Laporta will take it gladly in a blink of an eye.

However, I don't think that was the intent of the club announcing Messi would leave.

Bar?a's statement was to put huge pressure on Javier Tebas.

Sponsors will want to pull out from La Liga & Tebas will eventually give in as Messi generates millions in TV rights.

The sad part is that all of this is a drama created to pressure La Liga. I absolutely hate to admit that Messi might be staying after all but it is very clear that this is a political play by the genius and great politician Laporta

City won't go for Messi either way. They are committed to Kane now.

Honestly, they should be. Kane fits what Pep needs perfectly, and that saga has already mostly unfolded. It would be pretty messed up if ManCity just completely bailed on Kane after the holdout and all of the other drama. They committed to this long before Messi was available.

Breaking an anonymous sponsor of LaLiga has threatened to pull out of the deal unless LaLiga reconsider the salary cap .

I hope people realize Messigician is literally cutting out parts from these quotes or adding parts that make it sound completely different than what it truly is.

I know most of the active members of this forum know how he is, but a note for the new members or former lurkers joining in.

Unless you are kattanib of course, but he's already admitted to being mental in the past and has his own agenda.

Me neither. But when you think about it, there's no difference. This does put pressure on the league.

Barca and Messi had two options (if true both willing to extand): they either announce it now and hope to pressure the league into giving in, or they wait and try to sort it out via selling and stuff. They knew the latter most likely wouldn't work so decided to go with the first option. If Tebas doesn't concede, the statement stands.
