Lionel "The Greatest of All Time" Messi V2

Even if false it would make sense if he was a huge admirer of his. The thing that eluded Ronaldinho was that hunger to continue being the best in the world. Imagine he had even half the commitment of Cristiano. Then again, maybe we don't allow Messi to take the reins as early then. Swings and roundabouts

You're welcome
It’s not about admiration. It has to do with checking off another thing on his bucketlist. He had already played with messi and R9. He wants to be able to make that claim regarding Christiano as well.

The conventional outlook that Ronaldinho wasted his career and Ronaldo's attitude to his career is the shining example we should all look up to is something I can't agree with.

Ronaldo's drive and commitment is driven by his narcissism. A drive to be the best ever. We celebrate this, and look up to this, lauding the positives, whilst ignoring the negatives, which are far more numerous.

Ronaldo always seems angry on and off the pitch, constantly scowling, moaning and unhappy, even if his own team scores. He only seems to get joy if he is the one scoring. Despite, all the 'success', awards and admiration, his career seems to have been a torture inflicted upon himself by his own attitude and perceptions.

He is one of the greatest players ever, but suffers from being tormented by the fact that he is not THE greatest player ever. Just dwell on that for a serving and realise just how messed up that is. He doesn't even look like he enjoys himself when winning the Ballon Dor. His speeches often include putting others down or trying to convince others he is the best.

He has had all the success but Cris, my friend, did you enjoy the fucking journey? Because that's the most important thing, and it seems to me that your journey had been a painful one, when it should have been the opposite.

In contrast, Ronaldinho played with a permanent smile on his face. He may not have won what you win Cris, but he had a helluva motherfucking time doing it. I know which journey I would rather have been blessed with.

He was asked a question, to which he didn't provide an answer.

He's an idiot.

Tbf the so called contenders to the throne are laughable or a underwhelming at best.
Agreed, both Haaland and Mbappe haven’t separated themselves from a 36 year old Messi.

Messi’s playing level at the WC was the best stretch of performances all last season considering Haaland was a ghost in CL semis, CL final and other important games down the stretch

Football is in a very bad period right now

He’s going to win the Copa this summer and Ballon D’Or # 9 too lol

No he won't. This will be the last one for him. There is no chance that a MLS player will ever win Ballon D'Or. Next one will go to a player that will have the most complete season in CL and Euro. Furthermore, I am willing to bet it will be either Mbappe, Halland or Bellingham.

🎙️ Reporter: "Ronaldinho Gaucho, if you had to choose one player in your team between Messi or R9, whom would you choose?"

🇧🇷🗣️ Ronaldinho: Uhh well, to be honest, I just need a chance to play with Cristiano.

🎙️ Reporter: So you would literally not choose Messi, not choose Ronaldo Nazario, but you want to choose Cristiano?

🇧🇷🗣️ Ronaldinho: Of course, I mean, I want to have that hope, that combination, that experience to play with Cristiano. You know that hunger, that thrives, that passion, it's unmatched.

Iconic praise

Fake news.

He just answered that he already played with Messi , R9 and other greats , so he would have like to see how it is to play with CR as well .

If Bellingham ever wins a ballon Dor, I will be tapping out from football quicker than prime Connor McGregor.

Strewth.
