Lionel "The Greatest of All Time" Messi V2

You receive more than 150 million euros a year, if a person is not ready to pay 15 k for a VIP box while earning that kind of money, this says a lot about his attitude towards the club and money.
It's a perk of the job, mate. Lots of players get these kind of 'bonuses'. If he wanted VIP box then for sure the club did the math and included that as part of an overall package.

Dunno why anyone would make a big deal out of it.

Clown, tell me where Messi should have been at that moment when De Rossi was preparing his assist for Dzeko? Clown tell me why De Rossi got so much freedom?
On the right hand side where he always is? Should have been Suarez there unless the image is mirrored.

I once criticized Valverde for his defensive football with his 4-4-2. But now with experience I understand that this was a forced step.

His Athletic was one of the most pressing teams in La Liga, he loved 4-2-3-1, 4-3-3, but after joining Barcelona he began to gradually move towards 4-4-2 with a low and medium block without an active pressing in the opponent's final third.

He understood that you cannot build aggressive pressure when you have one player running 6-7 km per match. And most of this distance was covered on foot.

Over time, a similar problem arose with his friend Suaraz TO SOME DEGREE.

And all this forced Valverde to opt for a more defensive game with 4-4-2 and a low/medium block and abandonment of high pressure in the final third of the opponent’s field.

But pressing is the most important element of total football.

Thus, using two examples, I have demonstrated to you the influence of Leo Messi on the club’s transfer policy and tactical model of the game.
Argentina pressed as fuck while having Messi and totally dominated the Low Countries and France, the last a clearly superior team. Maybe LE and EV are fuckers who ruined the midfield. „over time” Suarez was fat from 2016, what on earth you are talking there?
No the low block is due to catalan fuckers not being able to run in space to recover. Also due to Rakitic being not a holding mid or a 8 to make sharp turns(the ones we accuse FDJ) to hold the ball in tight spaces.
LE created a reactionary team who was dominated even in his glory days by Real if you ever saw Barcelona play Real, we got away with our quality not with killing the game as in the past, same with Bayern. But of course Neymar and Suarez started to get complacent and we lost some players over time.
You are still don't get that Busquets in any decent club will go after 2012. You really need your defenders and dm to be able to run an defend, not look impotent and trying to hinder opossition.
Messi was running in every play, putting a fucking genius to get tired for no muscles and speed Pique and Busquets is the brain fart of Penaldo fans, and the dumb plastics that ”understand tiki-taka”

This guy still has an undeveloped brain to realize that everything bad did by Messi in his career as a football player pales in comparison with the good things he did for the club. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

This guy really put a random screenshot to try to prove something against the club's GOAT. He's really that stupid LMAO.

Go on some Napoli forum and post a screenshot of Maradona not defending as you liked in a random moment of a football game that they lost. First they'll fucking laugh at you even with their asses and then they'll fucking lynch you.

:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
You're just a clown who doesn't understand anything about football.

Therefore, I prefer not to start a dialogue with fools like you. I can cite hundreds and hundreds of such videos and photos, but there is no need for this, because every person who understands the tactical nuances understands that he is the laziest football player in recent history when it comes to playing without the ball.

I will not compare club football and national football.
For me these are two different types of “sport”.
I often disagree with what the @BBZ8800 says, but he dedicated a good post to it.. https://www.barcaforum.com/threads/27-lamine-yamal.19718/post-2726609

You are the biggest clown, please tell us when Messi refused to run at the ball or at the post.
You are telling us that our best player should have tired himself for those who can't run for what they are paid to run.
Liverpool got outplayed like that like 5 times with Barcelona, but the difference is Liverpool had an actual DM and CB to defend.
Let's say if Messi and Suarez defended vs Roma maybe you would have surpassed Rome, then what? The point is an old EPL bum played with the whole defensive structure of FCB who was ready to defend only EIBAR
PEP left for a reason and that reason was not Messi, but the keeping of certain bums in the team who lost him an UCL vs Chelsea and then were transhed by Bayern if not for Messi even PSG.

I doubt you were complaining about Messi's inactive defence when the club won CLs in 2009-11 and lauded as the greatest team ever by the media.

The whole argument is so retarded that if your point was valid Argentina would have never won their third World Cup or Barca 3 CLs with Messi. Because Messi rarely helped in defence.

Not necessary. If, for example, you play primarily on the right flank and your attack is completed and at the same time you find yourself closer to the left flank at the end of the attack, then you: either defend on the flank where you are stuck. or you quickly change with your partner.

You must replace each other. If I find myself in Suarez's zone, I will either quickly exchange with him, or I will defend this zone while Suarez defends mine.

And you're just a dumb fuck who isn't aware that you don't ask or have players of Messi caliber put to defend on top of their offensive duties , in their 30's .

"As long as you are not Cristiano or Messi, you have to defend. That's how it is. Are you Cristiano? Messi? No? Then defend!" - Klopp

Go argue with him too you loser LMAO

All your posts in all of the Messi threads have been troll posts and hate posts towards him and you expect anyone here to take you serious you social reject.

France has 3 elite teams that trained themselves in their academy. Argentina had no fucking chance with Otta and other bums, but Scaloni is not brain dead as EV and LE, he found the midfild that allowed Messi to shine while still not running, and actualy a striker who can stand on his feets.
Being stupid is not an excuse neither in club or national footbal.

Messi was much more involved in defensive work and pressing back then. Yes, it was not Firmino's level WITHOUT THE BALL, but he ran a lot and was actively involved in pressing.

Problems began to appear in the 2011-2012 season.

By the way, I am inclined to believe that this was one of the reasons why Pep decided to leave. He could control everyone, but not Messi.

Does Pep respect Messi? Yes. Is he considered individually the strongest football player in history? Yes.
But Pep wanted to continue to build a team that would obey his principles, namely the principles of total football.

Piece of meat, problems in Leo’s game without the ball began back in the 2011-2012 season. Don’t tell me about age, Modric defended at 25, 30, 35 and 38. The master of creativity De Bruyne did and always does.

Remember the story of the conflict between Leo and Enrique in the 2014-2015 season? This conflict was resolved by Xavi. Leo was then 25-26 years old. Why do you think this conflict occurred?

Pep wanted Messi back in summer 2020 so this post is fake news.

I don't believe in this at all.

I admit that the City owners wanted Messi or Ronaldo in order to increase brand awareness, image, etc.

Ronaldo even said that there were some negotiations with City.

But I am absolutely convinced that Pep did not take Leo to the team in 2020, much less Ronaldo, who is much worse as a football player.
