This is one of the biggest reasons I despise that fanbase.
They scapegoated Higuain and destroyed his mental health, legacy and reputation forever while their own glorified Argentine Forrest Gump bottled a 1 on 1 in the final and disappeared in the knockouts(unlike Higuain).
Imagine what Higuain and his family went through.

Im not a fan of asking other ppl about that debate as ppl like Messi waaay more than Cristiano, i remember in my school class i was the only Ronaldo fan, all other kids were Messi fanboys.
Anyways, as said i have no problem if people say they think Messi is better because of his individual power💯🔥

Uf yeah i have said it months ago, the adults Messi fans are way worse than the adults Ronaldo fans. In Euro21 Jota missed 2-3 great chances but you have never heard we lost the game because of Jota while Messi fans always gave the other guys the fault when he lost. It's crazy how much hate Higgy got for missing one chance per match, you would think he bottled 5-6 100% chances if you read the comments.
Same happened after Anfield, only EV had the fault, poor EV but after EV Messi never reached semi final cl or ll win again 😔
Loosing a football match is 1 thing but bullying someone into deep depression is sad 🥺

Women, kids and casuals love Ronaldo way more. It's roughly 50-50 amongst adult males. Messi is unanimously loved by the establishment, mainstream media and the Football people though. Ronaldo is more like the 'People's Champion'.........

Beyond ridiculous discussions about imaginary bullying. Higuain and palacios if I remember well missed sitters (as per usual) and messi had a really good shot, that missed by a small margin. 2014 is done though and Argentina managed another final and won it. let's all get over it shall we?
